Is George Broussard still with 3D Realms?
The 3DR Team doesn't mention George at all, but the Public Information you can retrieve via Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts for Action Entertainment, Inc. states he is still president and director (for Action Entertainment anyway, don't know current connection to Apogee Software, Ltd.) together with Scott.

Maybe I have missed a tweet or two by George about this matter, maybe he is not listed due to his stroke last year and are simply taking time away to fully recover? Or maybe it has been answered already elsewhere on these forums, I'm not that active anymore. Whatever the reason, an answer would be appreciated.

No.

George is a very close friend of ours -- he's a huge part of the heart and soul of 3D Realms. George is still connected to us, but isn't active at this time. The door is always open, of course, and we hope to see George back in action in the future!

I think everyone agrees that without George 3DR isn't the same the company. It goes without saying that they will never be the revolutionary company they once were, but I'm still interested to see what they do in the future.

It was George Broussard who turned DNF into a black hole that sucked the entire monetary assets of the company.
It was George Broussard who decided to sell the Max Payne, Prey and Duke Nukem IPs after constantly failing to deliver DNF.
It was George Broussard who constantly ordered the development team to add features without even having an idea how they would fit in the game.
It was George Broussard who decided to scrap the Quake2 engine build of DNF.
It was George Broussard who planned to cut the entire Area 51 part out of the game.
It was George Broussard who decided not include the level editor.

For that, I only have two words. GOOD RIDDANCE. Thank Mike Nielsen for finally giving 3DRealms the enema it needed.

3DRealms without George Broussard? It is like a fish without a bicycle.
Without George "Cutting is shipping" Broussard, 3DRealms finally has a chance at excellence again.

You do realize that Max Payne was Remedy's game. They created the concept and then brought it to 3DRealms for assistance in development.
With GoD publishing, and Rockstar handling the console ports. Remedy then sold the IP to Take Two.

Also, if you want to be technical... it was Scott who sold the PREY IP to ZeniMax/Bethesda.
After the release of the first game Scott created Radar Group, he moved the PREY IP from 3DRealms to Radar. Some time after, he sold the IP to ZeniMax.

And, people constantly want to throw around that it was George who did this and this...
George wasn't the only person running the company. Scott was there as well. And Scott had a say in what was going on.

Kind of ironic that Scott has always been so "developer first" over the years with GOD Games, Radar Group and the countless interviews on how publishers are such a stifling hindrance on game development, then hands the development reigns of such a huge title unconditionally over to George who, without publisher rules/demands & milestones proceeded to mismanage, spend & feature creep the studio into the ground.

I do feel bad for the guys. They had the best of intentions and only wanted to make the best game possible, but just didn't let go of how games used to be made. The days of tiny teams making AAA games relatively quickly were already long gone, and I think they just stayed in that mindset too long.

On LinkedIn, George Broussard is listed as lead designer.

Hindsight is 20/20. No clue who did what when and where and why. But it's only one game that failed. Here is hoping the New Blood is moving 3D Realms in the forward direction.

The Radar Group website is still up, though it doesn't look like it's been updated in ages (e.g. it still links to Miller's Game Matters blog, which hasn't seen a new entry in seven years).

I checked the status of the people on the "Leaders" page:

- Jim Perkins: regional director at Corum Group, still listed as current Radar CEO on his LinkedIn page (blogs/blogged at Corum about social, mobile and online casino games).
- Scott Miller: Radar Group June 2007-June 2011.
- David Atkinson: his Radar profile page went 404 sometime in 2011.
- Pat Heptig: no mention of Radar Group on his LinkedIn page.
- Dave Adams: Radar Group August 2007 - October 2011.
- Will Kerslake: Radar Group September 2007 - October 2011.
- Scott Faye: Radar Group 2007 - October 2014.

Looks like Radar went belly up some four years ago, if it was ever more than a hot air balloon.

Yeah, nothing ever really came from Radar Group. It was an interesting idea that never really developed into what it was setup to be.

If Prey 2 shipped, you would've seen their name in the credits.
