That was cool. Other than the higher res version, I officially don't want to see any more Prey footage so the game will be totally fresh. This is all the taste I need, and a good taste it is. I didn't understand some of the spiritwalking stuff when it was in shaky-cam, but now it's a lot clearer.

He's not the average square-jawed hero who is there to save the day. When Tommy and Jenny are abducted by the alien ship, Tommy is only concerned with finding her and getting the hell off the ship, not about trying to stop the aliens from destroying the planet.

Hence the tag line: Earth's Savior Doesn't Want the Job.

But the tag line has a double meaning right? You want people to assume it's reffering to Duke Nukem, but it's really reffering to Tommy correct?

Cool, looks good. I downloaded the low-res quick time movie and it was a lot better in quality then that shaky cam video was. It's much brighter and easier to see what's going on, I didn't notice that there was a jumbo jet flying around after Tommy was abducted when I watched the other video. Also, there's a bunch of extra stuff at the end in this one, like an updated version of the spinning portal that was shown in the 98 video.

edit: just finished watching it, and I must say it's absolutely incredible. Seeing it in high quality adds a whole new dimension to the experience - there's so much detail in these scenes (take, for example, the beginning sequence along with the scene where the plane is transported aboard) it's mind-blowing.

Bear in mind that Human Head is actually making the game. We served to start it, fund it, and guide it along with advice, but it's their hard work on the screen

We're going to release a pretty high quality video to everyone (I think it's a couple hundred megs). xStream will have some higher versions that you can stream. It's certainly free to try it. The player is only 7 a meg download and you can close it and tell it to go away when you're done with it. So it's hardly a hassle.

All you have to do is change low to high in the download link to the quicktime low quality version.

I'm pretty positive the highest quality quicktime video there is insider-only.

Of course, you know outsiders; they always make insider videos their prey.

the blue health bar goes to top when in spirit- and deathwalking mode, but I have never seen the bar changing.

The red bar seems to be used when you´re in death-walking mode!
In the beginning the bar is empty, the more creatures you shoot the fuller gets the bar

The red bar is your health bar - it depletes as you get injured. When it empties you die and you go into spirit mode.

The blue bar indicates your spirit health, which depletes over time. While death walking you first have to fill up your spirit bar (allowing you to return to reality) and then optionally you can refill your health bar, which determines your health on 'resurrection'.

I imagine that when your spirit bar empties you die for good.

While death walking you fill it up by shooting spirit creatures, otherwise it replenishes by itself when you switch back to your body. You can see this happen at the start of the video when he switches to spirit mode to activate the switch.
