Max 2: How do I select grenades?

I notice on the menu that there is one weapon in grey for selection by mouse-click with another below in blue that I cannot select.

I can't seem to select grenades or molotov cocktails.

Grateful if anyone can explain?

The grenades and molotovs are always selected as a side arm that you can throw when you have a gun equipped, rather than selecting them as individual weapons. It's usually the middle mouse button to throw them, but you can change it in the options.

Thank you Zom-B, I'm very grateful for your reply. However, unfortunatly I dont undersand how to select a side arm, all I see in my hand is the gun. All my middle mouse is doing is cycling through the weapons. The grenade is highlighted in blue but it is the gun that gets selected when I click the mouse. It was so much easier in Max 1.

When I say middle mouse, I mean push the scroll wheel in so it clicks, like a button. You don't see Max holding the Grenades and Molotov's, but they can still be selected.

For example, you could have..

M4 Carbine 30+160
Grenade 7

That means although you have your M4 selected as a primary weapon, your Grenades are ready to be thrown too, rather than having to select them as their own weapon. It saves a lot of time.

If you don't have any throwable weapons, you'll see Melee, this simply has Max hit enemies with the gun he's holding. Hope this helps.

I have found the full answer:

Bring up grenades or for that matter molotov cocktails

Highlighted in blue on your on-screen menu during the

game and then press F to throw,

usually it would be a melee button like mouse button 3 or the roller in the mouse. look in the controls.

The key "1" changes between the Melee attacks.

And it's the Middle Mouse button to use the attack.
