Haha, that's insane! How can they afford to sell it so cheap? If i lived in America i'd easily buy the PS2 version, just to finish off my collection.

Did you see what teh shipping was? $2 even with shipping isn't a bad deal on a game.

I'm pretty sure that they're not trying to make money on this. I'm sure this is an attempt to get rid of a lot of extra stock they have lying around. Has to be, as you pointed out they'll take a bath on this one.

I've got an Xbox. But I'm happy with my PC version. The main reason I bought Max Payne in fact was to mod it and play mods.

You never know 3DR might be giving away copies in a few years time, just like they did with Max Payne recently.

That won't be happening. We didn't have any. I ordered some copies for ourselves before I posted that to the website.

Yeah, i've got MP1+2 on PC, Max Payne on the GBA and MP1 on the PS2... so i'd buy the PS2 MP2 if i saw it that cheap here in the UK.

And you're probably right about the extra stock Joe, especially if you send out as many as i've seen in the "behind the scenes" galleries..!

Great deal but I had one teeny tiny little issue:

My middle name is on my credit card, but there is only a 'First Name' and 'Last Name' field in the 'Billing Address' area on the Gamestop.com ordering page. So I figured it wouldn't be a big deal to exclude my middle name from the billing address area but include it in the credit card area.

I was wrong. Not only did I get an error but my credit card account was charged the 1.99 +tax times the number of attempts I made at correcting/resubmitting the order.

I sent them an email; hopefully this'll get sorted out.

My order of 50 copies of Max 2 for the Xbox is "out for delivery" according to UPS.

What I find amusing about all this is that the package is 16.5 pounds in weight. They charged me $10.99 in overnight shipping for that (as the free shipping didn't apply to something of this weight).

I know it cost them more than $11 to ship a 16 pound package overnight UPS. They're taking a bath on this deal.

Hi Guys,

I'm a long time 3DR fan and finally got around to registering on the forums here. Why? I just recently started playing Max Payne again and the awesomeness (is that a word?) of that game prompted me to come here and see what the boys were up to. I'm a big Duke Nukem fan as well, but what action gamer isn't, eh?

I snagged up a few copies of both the XBOX and PS2 versions of Max Payne 2 even though I already own the game just to keep as gifts for those times I need an emergency gift for a gamer friend. At $1.99 ea. and free shipping it's a steal. By the way they have a 2 copy limit on the PS2 version but you can order as many of the XBOX version as you want. I just placed two orders so I could get more of the PS2 version.

It's 100, actually. I ordered 50 copies of the Xbox version and 50 copies (on 25 orders, as I could only order 2 at a time). Why? We didn't have any at 3DR. We had no copies at all in our archives. Since they were so cheap, I grabbed 'em.

I order stuff to Ogdensburg New York, there is a UPS store you can have stuff delivered to. I then drive down from Canada (I live in Ontario), and pick it up. It costs $5 to have it stored at the UPS store until I pick it up.
