I've been playing Diablo 3 lately, for the first time too. I was expecting the art style to be too cartoonish and cheerful, but to my satisfaction it's not the case. Sure it's not as dark as the previous games, but that's okay.

I've only played like 10-12 hours, but the fun is still there and it's almost as addicting as Diablo 2. That's a good sign.

Going from some shooters to this one can be like a case of whiplash. The player movement speed in Wrack is just... damn fast.

Also, grabbed Alien Rage on Steam. I know it's not "great" or even really good, but, I need a crappy game. They can be fun to play at times.

Alien Rage is definitely not crappy in my book. I gave it a fairly good review actually. It's definitely not for everyone but for the right crowd I think it's a great shooter.

It's City Interactive, so... definitely not going in with high hopes.
The Sniper: Ghost Warrior games were... just... awful.

And, the first two missions I've played of Alien Rage are not great. It's not terrible... but more so, bland.

I'm just saying I don't have high hopes given City Interactive's... (or "CI" as they are trying to rename themselves) history.

And so far, I'm about four levels in... and it just feels... tedious.
The levels are all blurring together, as are the enemies.

Haven't posted here in a while.

Finished DA: Inquisition. Only a very good game, although I think it'll grow on me and I'll eventually begin to love it.

Finished VtM: Bloodlines (never played it before). Love it to death.

Finished Alien: Isolation 10 minutes ago. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUU...!!!!1! Dis game. It could've been so much more. My feelings are so goddamn mixed. There are elements of brilliance and of sheer bullshitness (like the artificial tension created by taking literally forever to do anything - pull a lever, use a gas / plasma / ion cutter, and, my personal favorite, ******* BACKING OFF FROM AN ELECTRICAL BOX WHICH TAKES LITERALLY 3 SECONDS from the moment you push a button to the moment Ripley actually moves away from it). The numerous fake endings, dumb alien AI (it's not smart once you figure out how it actually works) etc. I wanted to love this game so much...

Played more, I'm on the last level... but not feeling it.
I've enjoyed the game up to this point. But, there are red spiked balls scattered around the level... that are instant death the instant you touch them.
No matter how full your health is.

I walked into a room with 190% health, and given you run at about 300MPH in the game... you tend to slide at times. Barely slide into one... dead. Restarted at the beginning of the level.
Wouldn't be so bad... but the checkpoints in this level are pretty bad. Being really far apart, and the Quick save feature doesn't actually quick save. It just saves you stats to the previous checkpoint.

So glad I got it on sale. It is... just... awful.
It's a step up from their previous effort, Sniper: Ghost Warrior, but that's really not saying much.
The game itself just feels horribly tedious, and it's drenched in the most standard and cliche' sci-fi crap.

Forza Motorsport 5 on Xbox One...wow. Took a bit to install the thing, not sure how big this game is on that hard drive, though, anyway. Seems that it's good to actually PLAY the thing, those demo kiosks at the store only seem to let you WATCH the game.

Forza 5 is awesome.
Apparently it takes ages to install because it was a launch title that required online every day, so that has to be patched.

Played some more Hammerwatch- it's better than the Gauntlet remake IMO.

Red Faction II

Wow. What an ugly game. This was released in mid-2003?!?
I don't mind "limited visual fidelity" as long as it's appropriate to its age. But I'm unaware of any other games released for PC in 2003 that look like PS1 ports.

Gameplay was also very generic. Very easy until a nearly impossible final boss (I hate that).

Just finished Wolfenstein: TNO. Overall, meh. The story was the best part and the music was nice too. The gameplay was decent at best - they tried to make it good, the dual shotguns were great, but in general it wasn't anything above average.

Also, pressing a button to pick armor and ammo up. No. Just, no. F*ck off.

You should have taken actions against his/her inappropriate misbehavior (= attacking me countless times) a long time ago. Instead you pet and fondle him/her all the time and put me in the same barrel with him/her like I have ever attacked him/her. Is it your girlfriend or something? Because this is unacceptable.

You do not know how a Moderator handles another users actions.

Just because something is not said out in the open for everyone to see, does not mean nothing is said or done.

Two, there is a report feature. Report a post.
Choosing to not report a post, and in turn snipe back and bring negative attention to yourself does not make the situation better.

Three, if you have an issue with how something is being done... contact that mod directly through Private Message.

But calling someone a troll, or telling them to "STFU" is not handling a situation in a mature manor. It's throwing fuel on the fire.

Well the private messages of yours haven't stopped the same inappropriate behavior and personal attacks (including calling names, yes) from that individual, so you may want to rethink your strategy, which is putting me publicly in the same barrel with him/her and constantly petting him/her. Show me ONE time that I attacked him/her with calling names on any comment he/she has made (apart from those after I have been shamelessly attacked) . ONE. I will write down all the personal attacks from him/her in a note (too bad you have deleted a good portion of those, last I remember were about Bioshock 3) and I will send it to you, and then I will send you also your public reaction. Then we 'll see how your measures were effective or not. The same list will go to the higher level if needed.

There is a bunch of side missions (some of them you have to unlock through scanning planets) and 3 DLCs.

Changes since last time:

-New Firebird's chest (more vitality/intelligence)
-Stone of Jordan w/20% fire damage and toxin gem with 3250% damage. Any mob in the poison will take 10% extra damage from all sources. Old one had plain cold damage.
-Ring of Royal Grandeur (swapped with Unity, reduces set item bonus requirements)
-Magefist w/20% fire damage (had Firebird's gloves)
-Harrington Waistguard (anything you can click on in the game will trigger a buff that raises your base damage to around twice as much, depending on how it rolls (between 100-131% damage, mine was 126%). My damage went from 1.2 million to 2.2 million). The tooltip says only chests, but it should probably be updated. Even loose stone will trigger this
-100% fire damage bonus (up from 60%)
-55% elite bonus damage (Bane of the Powerful level 25 gem unlocked an extra 15%)

Yep, I've begun finding some of them thanks! I've had to download the DLCs separately so there's also that to look forward to.

Hated it. Boring, tedious... dull combat. Uninteresting environments.
If you're playing as the monster and you "evolve" to level 3... you're basically unstoppable.

This game is not worth 60 bucks.
