Easter Eggs - Secrets - Cameos
Easter eggs are hidden messages and icons from old previous games inserted in the new one. like for example, seeing a magazine with the origanl pigcop face on it.

or seeing a 3d realms employe name inserted for a character in the game.

like seeing george's room on a door and seeing plans on a desk that says dnf on it. stuff like that, you know what i mean right?.

Yes, I would like lots of easter eggs in the game. They have been in many previous Duke games and I'm sure DNF will have them too.

I hope they make jokes about all the recent FPS's, like HL, Halo, Fear, Doom 3, etc. Like maybe they could have a security monitor show some guy running down a hallway scared, followed by an Alma looking girl walking slowly after him. Duke would say something like "Only little girls are afraid of other little girls."

Somewhere in the game, Duke needs to run up to the top of a communications tower and yell "Gotcha' suckas!"

For the life of me, I can't understand how anybody with the faintest hint of knowledge about Duke could possibly ask such a question. That's sorta like asking if a porn flick should have nudity.

Methinks DNF is already done, they are simply spending the last 3 years putting in easter eggs.

I think there was one thread that actually got into a discussion about that.

I agree though, DNF will 100% certainly have easter eggs in it. You could even already see lots of them in the e3 2001 video.

Lol, im not a kid man, and i don't follow the game blindly, im not waiting for it, i'm just living my life and when it arrives i'll play it just like every other game. Hey, you're not following the game blindly "like us" but yet you make more threads about DNF than anyother guy in this forum, isn't that strange? And stop calling other people ignorant or "kids" cause you only make yourself look like an ignorant or a kid.

Going from the past games, it's obvious that DNF will have at least some easter eggs, in-jokes or parodies of other games/films, so why did you even bother making this thread? There's been heaps of threads about this in the past.

In the most non-offending way, i'd have to agree with this...
It would have been a better idea to make a thread about what kind of Easter Eggs DNF could have... I'm sure everyone would like such a thread... (i believe we had such a thread before, although they're gone now i think)

It would be fun to have one with Gordon Freeman. Like you see the hands of freeman with the crowbar and duke says his oneliner.

Like "Are you Lost?" (for lost coast) or "Hhmmmm.... Where's Alyx?" (a voice that want to screw things ) or "I'll combine myself with her!"

It would be fun to have something with freeman but only his hands and crowbar, like when you go on thirdperson in HL2. And some joke about it.

"Are you so ugly!?" Saying that the HL2 devs did not made the full model because of that.

I'm kinda smitten with that idea of yours.

I mean, it's not like Mr. Longest Death (who is apparently a lot older and wiser than we pissy poor posters could ever hope to be) has any kinda of authority over this thread. Jurisdiction lies solely within Joe's capable hands.

So I say lets pool our resources and overthrow the local government. You hear me LD ? We gonna take away your thread and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it!

As not to piss off Joe we go with a standard "No, we are not off topic, no sir!" disclaimer that goes like:

---"YES! DNF should have Easter eggs in it and they list as follows..."---

My own humble self likes Terminator jibes, known from the 2001 trailer.

"My boot is gonna make a dent in those balls of steel of yours!"

P.S.: @the longest death: No hard feelings, eh? We all like to joke and jest in good humor however silly it may turn out despite our best intentions. Always remember that these forums are full of pure grade A LUUUUUVVV!!!

Duke Nukem Secrets in DNF
Well a Duke Nukem Without secret places isn´t a Duke Nukem.
Remember in Duke 3d the DOOMed spacemarine or indiana jones hangin from the ceiling or the black Monolith from the movie "2001 Space Odyssee"

post your ideas for secrets in DNF - mine would be the alltime favorite a pc with Duke 3d on it and that you actuallly can play a level or something and while your playin it duke says "can´t stop to play with myself" (i found it hilarious when i played duke 3d the first time and he said "no time to play with myself")

i´m pretty new to this forum so if there already was a thread like that, i´m sorry.
