Hey, he's the one the supposedly "doesn't give a shit." I never said I didn't. I do! Or I wouldn't make a big deal out of it lol.
Anyways, I was trying to get the thread back on topic but for the anti-fun patrol locks the thread haha. How about Duke says, "Damn, those nerdy bastards are gonna pay for delaying my release date!" I am sure that one has been said before. "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum, but my gum is 14 years old and chipped my tooth."

Ok, I'll email 3DRealms for you immediately and see about having George Lucas and Steven Spielberg making a new edited version of the entire Duke Nukem series where all guns are replaced with walkie talkies, all vulgar and/or violent slurs are changed to economically and politically encouraging propaganda, and everything is enhanced with cutting edge CGI technology.

Re: The "One-Liners/Pop-Culture References in DNF" Thread
I think since Duke Nukem primarily takes place in areas in and around L.A., Duke should turn down a street in the city and see some head band wearing females in a guitar and hand drum circle getting beamed up to a spaceship, then he says, "Nobody steals our chicks, and lives. Unless they're granola crunching hippie lesbians!"
...and now you know how the above discussed topics can be used constructively in this thread!

On the subject and tying it in with the beginning of the thread, Duke could sing "Dude looks like a lady" in response to seeing a suitable NPC. Duke should see a real cop standing on the street and say, "I smell bacon.." And then the cop should morph into a pigcop unleashing an ambush that unveils the alien that changed him.

Re: The "One-Liners/Pop-Culture References in DNF" Thread
If you beat a badguy in a ninja suit, have Duke say "Fatality!" (a reference to the fighting game Mortal Kombat).
If you pick up a laser gun, have Duke say "It's laser time boys!" (a reference to a 1990's sci-fi cartoon called The Bots Master). If you pick up a "full recharge" item (a rare item that refills all ammo in all guns if you have them, gives full health, and full body armor) have Duke say "My level is OVER 9000!" (a reference to a scene in the anime Dragon Ball Z). If you fight against a guy in a big mech, while you are standing at ground level, have Duke say "So that's Escaflowne?" (a reference to what Hitomi Kanzaki says in the anime Escaflowne when she see's her friend get in a big mech called Escaflowne to pilot it). If you fight a teem of 5 ninjas, have Duke say "So they're the Power Rangers?" (a reference to what Astronema says in a scene in the last episode of Power Rangers In Space when she sees for herself for the first time the teens power-up into Ranger mode). You are piloting a space ship to take out an enemy space ship, and you can't quite get a lock on it for your homing missiles, and the guy at air-traffic-control radios to you and says "Use the force, Duke." (a reference to Star Wars). Whatever they do, PLEASE NO MORE X-RATED JOKES! That one in Duke3d where he said "I don't got time to play with myself." when he walked up to an arcade machine loaded with a Duke Nukem game, was a bit too much. I mean seriously was TOO "adult" for even an M rated game if you ask me (seems like an AO rating would be better for that one).

Duke Nukem finds a PC connected to the 3DR forums and logs in to post wild speculation and some suggestions about Duke Nukem 5. Or to point out some obscure reference somewhere that might possibly, on the most way-out interpretation, have something to do with Duke Nukem 5.
I'd laugh. |

If there was a level where Duke is in a submarine, he could find a blown up alien in a pressure chamber and say: "couldn't handle the pressure?"
And if he freezes someone, he has got to say: "chill out!" |

For more Arnold movie references, Duke could pin a alien into a wall by throwing a knife through its chest. "Stick around"

Duke see a apple with a bite out of it.

Re: The "One-Liners/Pop-Culture References in DNF" Thread
For clarification, the quotes are largely 90's pop-culture rip offs, and are in no way Duke Nukem lines created 100% by 3DR. In fact, a lot of them are, quite literally, STOLEN, so please contact the actual writers of the lines. Your presumption that time has affected the quality of the lines is wrong - It's simply a different culture now that there was back in the 90's. In the same way the 60's looked fkn scary to someone born in the 80's.
Also, forums are about sharing opinions, but we recieve help from the forum creators in where to post. For example, I wouldn't post anything about blowing up birds with baking-soda chips in a bird lovers forum, unless I was trolling. Which you are. But you seem to be either too old or too young to realise. Also, condolences on the medium penis. You should upgrade to large, I don't need ear cleaners or face wash at all. |

Hi, I'm new.
I haven't watched TV in over 7 months, and before that rarely, so my cultural inuendos are rusty. But I will try a few Duke sees a poster for the next Survivor. Someone has scrawled "Survivor suxs! Let it die already!" Duke laughs and says "The tribe has spoken!" If there is a police station level, when Duke shoots the last of the mutated police officers, he says (in a bad Porky the Pig voice) "Th th th thats all folks!" |
