Dopefish Deluder

Going over the ROTT in Hell article (again), I read this:

"After the game was complete," Joe Siegler says. "Mark Dochtermann compiled a special (was never released) version of the game where all the Triads in the Eluder and Deluder games were replaced with 3D rendered (by Chuck Jones) versions of Dopefish. It's highly silly. One of these days, I'll create an online patch so others can see it, too. "

I wrote that text a very long time ago. I'd have to see if Mark even still has that stuff. I know I don't.

It is possible, that i confuse something here, but i found this at www.dopefish.com :

Also, in Feburary of 1998, I released what is probably the final patch of any kind for Rise of the Triad, the long-awaited "ROTT Dopefish" patch. What this patch does is add Chuck Jones' rendered Dopefish into v1.3 of Rise of the Triad.

Huh, waddaya know.

I gave it a shot; Rise of the Triad has been patched to "1.DFISH", now.
From what I can tell, it works and the game still runs fine, but by not thinking ahead, I've successfully nullified my Extreme ROTT savegame.

I'll reinstall ROTT later when I want to get back to that, I s'pose.

I kinda still wish they burped, though.
