Searching Sprite to recreate
Hi,

Yesterday i played Episode 4 "The Birth" up to the second-last Level (yes i have taken the Secret Level )
If its not done yet: I search these hanging business-guys over the table at the default exit. They where not recreated in hires yet.

I would like to do that

Escapist already working on them:

Read last two pages in Duke Nukem 3D Modelling Project part 4 thread.

But you're free to do your versions and community will choose best one for hrp.

edit. If I understand right you are going to model them and not make them as 2D hi-res sprites.
In any case, we have a lot of sprites which not hi-res yet. Any contribution are welcome. Check current to-do list:

Maybe you would be interested in recreating tile 4181 et al.
(see http://forums.3drealms.com/vb/showth...=29201&page=21)

You could make a label for a milkbottle or carton. That would help a lot!

Yes, BuddhaMaster

Pls. do give it a shot.
I kinda hit a brickwall with that.
It was difficult to create a human figure in around 300 polys or less.

So, good luck. and we'll look forward to see what you come up with!

How is it going with your trio?

Great, exactly what i searched for: to-do list.

I will create any tile when I'm in the right mood
not all of them, but one for the start...

Uhm, well i did not exactly wanted to Model this guy
i just wanted to create a really hires version of the Sprite, with real business clothes or similar. I just imagine that you could find a perfect photo from a business-clothes collection, sort of
to use as base.

But i forgot that most of stuff is modeled anyway. I think thats be better.

------
I've seen some many tiles undone in the Birth, if i remember correctly. And i saw many i'd like to take on. Just expect nothing, there's lazyness going on between.

Hey, i've seen 3 new Duke4ever shots. Duke does look good again ! But the monsters still lack "character"... especially the octabrain. they all look like their environment <- you know what i mean ?

You don't want to abandon them?
They looked very promising so far.

I think you don't have to limit yourself to 300 polys.
I always use more than i initially aimed for.

I think you should finish them!
