Duke Nukem Manhattan Project Bug?
When I fight the first boss at the end of episode 1, if I die, the game crashes on me. Does anyone else have this problem? It occurs in the directx and opengl settings. The crash seems to just occur only on this level. It is not really a big deal if the crash only occurs on this level is it? My graphics card is a Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family. I should have a decent graphics card and drivers to play the game since my laptop was made after 2002. I can die and the game does not crash in the demo version. I have a registered download version.

Is your version v1.0.1?

Where did you get the registered download?

Onboard chipsets are not good for gaming.

What difficulty are you playing on?

It happens on all of the difficulty levels. The game does not crash for the demo version. It is not my graphics card. It would crash for the demo version if it was. Map e01p03_a02 is the warp code for the boss if you want to try it out.

I updated the driver and still had the crash. It is the game. Does anybody have the same results of the game crashing when duke nukem dies in episode 1 fighting the first boss?

Re: Duke Nukem Manhattan Project Bug?
Why the hell are you dying during the boss fight anyway? 995 EGO? How the hell is that possible?

Game system requirements:
* Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
* Pentium II 350 or faster (recommended P III 500 or faster)
* 64 MB RAM, DirectX 8.1 compatible 8 MB 2xAGP enabled video accelerator or faster (recommended 32MB video accelerator)
* DirectX compatible sound card, DirectX 8.1 (included)
* 300 MB hard disk space, supports joysticks and game controllers and force feedback

I have no issue dying during the boss fight.
What's the rest of your system specs? Since its onboard video, how much memory is it?

Re: Duke Nukem Manhattan Project Bug?
I jumped off the building to get the error. I have an Intel Centrino Duo with SRS TruSurround XT. I have 2.5 GB of ram. My soundcard is Realtek HD. Even if the boss kills me without God mode I still die and the game still crashes.

Go into your laptop bios and look for onboard video shared memory. Post what that's set to, as you might have to increase the video memory.

Does DNMP lag when you play it on either mode?

You have to reboot the laptop and press del or whatever key to get into the system bios.

I'm also running XP.

My system memory is 640 KB. My extended memory is 2611200 KB. I can not change the system memory. It goes down to something else and skips over both of them.

640KB is base memory. Long story.
What brand/model of the laptop?

Since you like to crash the game, see where else it crashes.
Then ask for a damn refund, but you won't get it anyway.

you could run the game in open gl mode instead of direct X ( I think you can chose) also try running full screen rather then windowed if all else fails you can try to change the acceleration settings in your direct x control panel or download a a saved game after the boss level

The error occurs in both the Open GL and Direct X modes.
