Wonton distruction pack and windows 7
I do not have access to a windows 7 machine. Can someone tell me if it is possible to install the wanton destruction pack with windows 7?
Let me know what problems you have if any and if you get it install let me know the steps you take. This is for a customer but it is hard to do support when you dont have access to all the os's anymore. ![]() |

Re: Wonton distruction pack and windows 7
I don't own a copy of Shadow warrior anymore, so i don't no if this would work for this, but it did for Duke 3D's Duke Caribbean add-on.
It requires Dosbox. Have the full Dos version of Duke 3D in the cdrive folder for Dosbox, Then make a new folder(in Dosbox's cdrive folder) and stick the installation file for the add-on in that folder. Then from Dosbox run the addons install file and it should install the addon. Just remember that C: is Dosbox's cdrive folder. Then if you want copy the files from dosbox's cdrive and move it to whatever folder you have shadow Warrior port and run it with a port. Hope that wasn't too confusing. |

Re: Wonton distruction pack and windows 7
Thanks but wanton is a windows installer. I am actually thinking about installing it and then "Re Releasing" it so it will work with our downloads. But since I dont have a windows7 machine. It might be an easy work around.

Re: Wonton distruction pack and windows 7
Wanton Destruction uses a 16-bit installer so it won't work on any 64-bit OS. However it's possible to extract the files from the installer using WinZip/WinRAR. I think the required files are wanton.exe, Wanton.dat, ICON00.SPR(?) and WT.GRP.
