All I wanted was Duke Nukem Forever... and that was epic fail.

That was a comment of someone on shacknews...
they are milking the cow so nobody wants duke anymore in the end....

Ermm.....how is it "milking" when you make games for platforms that you didnt do before? Apogee LLc. is just doing what all companies do, selling a product so they can make money so they can pay thier emploeeys and whatnot. Dont see anything wrong in that.

Seems to me like 3D Realms is going back to the early Apogee times, where they make simpler and smaller games. Something you can get away with on mobile phones and handheld consoles, obviously such an approach wouldn't work on more advanced machinery. After a while, they will hopefully be big and strong again and will work on more ambitious titles... with hopefully a new perspective on design

And this is all they should do, while important projects should be left to third parties. After all, this has been the ONLY way for Prey to be released.

Surely they've learned from their mistakes? Maybe when they get some cashflow going again they could somehow finish that build of DNF I suppose they still have sitting on their HD somewhere.

i was kind of hoping that they could remake the original duke nukem titles with the same tech used in DNMP basically let the DN3D crowd play classic duke and have it feel like the modern duke games. i think something like that would work for XBLA, PSN, and the Iphone. 3dr can get more funding if they re-establish there brand. prey did get press but human head got more coverage from it since apogee played an support role and less of an development role. i actually hope the suit goes apogees way since they got the shaft in the whole deal. it is sad to see such a legacy take this abuse.
