Okay, I am really confused now. 3drealms is Apogee Ltd. This "new" Apogee is Apogee LLC. Then why the hell LLC in their press release mention their "history" with publishing/producing Keen, Wolf 3d etc.?

Wtf? There is one Apogee Entertainment LLC with Terry Nagy as its registered agent and another Apogee Games LLC with Doug Younie as its registered agent...

It's the usual way of manipulating a brand. For instance, Infogrames would sometimes bring up the history of the Atari brand as if the two were actually related. The same goes for the owner of the RCA brand, along with its licensees....

In this case, Apogee Software Ltd./3D Realms (the original company) licensed its brand to the new Apogee Software, LLC, who will represent the former's history and legacy IP on its behalf.

Look up the definition of LLC. It allows accompany to act as if they are another company.
