ironic isn't it dn3d had a calendar which was on the year 2007, and yet the game may come this year which is 2007 or whatever year after and duke has shown allot of age between the time

Again, that's just a year i put there when i made the sprite for the D3D high resolution pack.

whoops my bad , havnt played the game in a while, when replaying it i noticed that sprite so i could only presume it was part of the game

oh and i had downloaded that hrp mod to improve the game a bit

Then maybe it's just an image they just threw together that has nothing to do with DNF. it looks like some sort of 3D art project, or new brand of action figure.

Well, wtf. Which game would it be? If it was CGI from an old Duke game or even from DNF it wouldn't be an "in-game shot". What else could it be? Prey 2, guest starring Duke Nukem?

And about the screen resolution: It is probably small like that because it had to fit on Gamasutra's hiring offer submission form. Or it got resized for it. It could be saved as .gif in order to get it to be only a few KBs. Honestly, after many years in the dark, we get a shining ray of hope and people are quick to dismiss what might be the biggest bone ever thrown by George. I'm probably reading into it too much, George should drop by and enlighten us (I mean, 3DR forum is just as important to him as Shacknews, right?).

It could be a cinematic, "in-game" doesn't necessarily mean that it's running in real-time.

Since when will every screenshot released need to showcase gameplay from the first-person standpoint?

It could very well be a set piece showing the new Duke look and the engine tech to a crowd of aspiring employees. Sort of an affirmation that "yes, we are here, and we have a game to show you."

yeah it's one thing to be too gullible, but it's also another to be over skeptical. in this situation it's a fine line. on one hand he said that it's real himself. on the other hand, we've gotten so used to false leads that we really don't want to get our hopes up AGAIN just to be let down.

I honestly have no clue at this point.
