Max Payne 3 at E3 2005
From Blue's:
New Game Rumors - Sopranos, Max Payne 3 [May 13, 2005, 10:31 am EDT] - 4 Comments THQ to unveil video game based on The Sopranos on CNN Money reports a rumor that THQ will soon announce plans for a game based on the Sopranos, HBO's organized crime drama. The story is based on a report by a financial analyst. The story also reports that Max Payne 3 will be unveiled at E3 as being in the works at a new developer, with Remedy Entertainment at work on the teased, but still unannounced Alan Wake. Neither THQ nor Take-Two Interactive commented on these reports. Okay, now I severely regret deciding to not go to this year's show Anyway, it should all become clear very soon, let's hope it shows some promise! |

Re: Max Payne 3 at E3 2005
RMD might feel really embarassed to see their own creation spoiled to the max by some crappy developer at E3.
Though that's my prediction.

Re: Max Payne 3 at E3 2005
After finishing Max Payne 2 again tonight, I really hope that take 2 doesn't ruin the franchise. There is really no where to go with the story. If they can somehow pull it off though then I can't wait for a Max Payne 3.

Re: Max Payne 3 at E3 2005
It is not that there are no real valid story options, I mean hell look at what remedy did after Max 1, but I don't just want take 2 to continue the franchise just because they bought the rights to the game. I want to see 100 percent effort put forth in Max 3. As I said in my previous post I would love a Max 3 if they can do it right. I want the WID attitude for the developers and hopefully no dates set in stone for the developer to have the game done by.

Hopefully Sam will get his head out of the melodrama zone, because Max 2 was almost operatic.

Re: Max Payne 3 at E3 2005
If your parents have a problem with characters kissing in a video game, and you call that porn, man that's weird.
My 7 yearsold brother was playing the game, and so did my father. |

[/QUOTE] Dude's almost 20, lives in france and he's worried about his parents catching him with mp2. Isnt france alot more liberal with sex than most other countries? |

I knew R* was gonna screw it up. Maybe it's just that they are not yet enuf confident with the output they have uptill now.

Well rockstar paid for the rights to the game, so there will be a MP3, it is just a matter of when.

Re: Max Payne 3 at E3 2005
It has not been officialy confirmed but I have read comments from someone at Rock Star that they wanted to make the third game a bigger success then the second one and take their time getting it right and making it a bigger game. Don't remember the exact words since it was a few years ago, sometime pretty close after mp2 was released, maybe a few months. Was probably in some interview related to them baying the franchise or something like that. Or was the ip sold before the second game was released, can't remember.
The impression I got was that it would take longer until the third game then between the first two and that they were not planing to just start pumping out crap mp games. |

That sounds great
Besides, Rockstar can put out good games (GTA)

Re: Max Payne 3 at E3 2005
The IP sale was after MP1.
Unfortunately, TTWO's assessment that MP2 "sold as well as an average PS2 game" implies they're primarily focused on the console market, not the PC market. I fear MP3 will be a console game ported to the PC, which usually means suckage. |
