a couple questions
1. In Hollywood Holocaust at the beginning, how did they make look like the surrounding was LA? I can get the ceiling to do that but not the walls and floors.
2. How do you get the smokemaker to work? 3. If I have a moving sector, like a giant horizantal gear, how do I make it so that i spin along with it when I'm on it? 4. Does anyone have a list of tags for the music and sfx sprite? What each sound number is? 5. How come some sprites can fall off conveyor belts? 6. I built an exit and whenever I step into the sector I labled as the exit it exits. I don't even hit the Nuke switch. How do I fix it? 7. I figured out how to make slant adjustments a small section at a time (ctrl + [/]). Is it possible to stretch a pixel row at a time? Or move a pixel row at a time? 8. Does anyone know a good site to download sprite tiles that I could use in my levels? 9. How so I make sliding doors? |

These are all explained in the Buildhlp.exe on the CD or one of the many FAQ site around the world.
However. 4. Look at Defs.con in a text editor. 6. If you labeled the SECTOR Lotag 65535, delete that and put a Lotag of 32767 on the Nuke button. 7. To increment the slant by the pixel, hold down the SHIFT key. For the rest, READ THE FAQ's. |

For #1, build a small red sector around the edge of your room (do this FIRST before you build anything else in the area) make the ceiling of the red sector parallaxed as well as the ceiling inside of the room. Pull the red sector's ceiling all the way to the floor.

Most of those things are in Bishop's MapFaq. There's a version at RTCM, though it isn't the current one. If anyone has the 4.x version, I'd like a copy. |

Hmm, swore the mapfaq was up to 4 like the confaq. Must be all that crack I smoke. So I guess RTCM does have the latest. Gracias, Phoenix.
