I agree, leave as it was - 1600 polys

don't have much modelling experience, however I made a comparison with a real model and tried to make some modify... in ms paint, so I've obtained a shitty result, only want to give an idea

And her facial expression could be somewhat... happier! I must admit we never saw the face on the original sprite, but she couldn't dance with that face!

Don't forget this model is only used in E1L2, so it's OK if it has a little more polys. Not that it would matter, anyway.

Question Re: Duke Nukem 3D Modelling Project part 3
more polys does look better usually.

except, often, there are half a dozen or more of these strippers together in a room plus another half dozen monsters!

it will probably matter then....no?

Not at 1600 polys it won't. That is unless you are trying to run the HRP on a system that does not meet the unofficial "system requirements."
Characters deserve to have more than 1500 polys. Strippers and babes deserve at least as many.

I think more polys won't hurt... don't think about hypotetical user maps, think about the original game maps. after all, a user that want to use tons of model in a small room, sure is aware about what is doing...

and please take a look of my post above, I would like to know what do you think

Goofy Re: Duke Nukem 3D Modelling Project part 3
okay, you guys win. High poly it is.

Thanks, Alandog for the good recommendations. ( I wish I also had a model at my beck and call. ) I'll try to implement your ideas in the next mesh.

BTW, have you done any texturing before? Would you like to help on this one?

Maybe we could paint a smile on her face like NightFright suggested.
(I always thought those strippers were enslaved by the Aliens and forced to dance )

I can help with texturing after a week or two, I have to deal with some exams first.

sounds good! escapist, take the time you need, concentrate on the mesh at first, texturing and animation is not a problem...

can't wait to see your progress, keep up

In the original game, when the Assault Commander spins around, i noticed that their is motion blur, and i have also noticed that it doesn't do that in the HRP.

So, included with this post is the Assault Commander's skin but with motion blur applied to it. Can someone find the animation for the commanders spinning attack and apply the attatched skin to the animation? If it looks good, it should be added into the next HRP Update.
