DNF Fact Thread

Dunno if this has been done before, but I don't think this violates any forum rules, and might be useful to prevent random threads from popping up asking all sorts of questions that've already been answered.

What I propose is compiling a list of all known and verified DNF facts from interviews, forum posts, whatever from the 3DR staff on the current status of DNF, what's in, what's out... that sort of junk. I realize there are other sites which have things like that, but it might be nice to have an up to date list on the forum.

Even still, if we could have some links to other sites, that'd be nice as well. Maybe this thread could be stickied as well.

So... anyone wanna get going here?

I can't check the FAQ while at work due to the firewall, but last I checked it didn't include the level of detail of all quotes from the developers that I'm proposing here.

There's always a thread popping up here on the forum where someone's asking about weapons, enemies, whatever... and it likely gets deleted in short order. With this thread, it might be useful in that all the relavent comments we've recieved from 3DR regarding the game will be quoted here.

I agree with vivftp, the faq is all old news, and I think an up-to-date thread would keep us from recycling the same fifteen topics over and over again.

The faq just needs to be updated. I know Yatta has a somewhat large collection of quotes regarding DNF on Duke4.net.

A majority of the faq is still relevant, but there is some stuff in it that could probably stand to be removed.

Yep, damned odd firewall. What kills me is anytime big news happens about DNF (ie. teaser), I can't view the main page to see it. I have to wait for someone to post it in the forum, or another site I can visit.

As for viability, I'd agree if the FAQ were updated with all this info, but from memory it doesn't look like it is.

The main issue is, even though there's tons of info on other sites, we still have many threads started here where people are asking the same questions that've already been answered. It makes sense to have such a resource available directly on the forum here.

The firewall when I was deployed allowed the forums but not the main page as well. Perhaps it had something to do with the forums.3drealms.com url and it not liking the regular www.3drealms.com

Any rate yeah the FAQ could use some updating *cough*Georgehelp?*cough*

u do understand the reasoning behind some employers blocking msn.com, orkut.com facebook.com or some similar widely used usless pages. but why block 3drealms com? or you guys work at some place where 3drealms is so popular that everybody views 3drealms news all day long about duke nukem for mobile phones and some random fan reviwing rise of the triad?
