Iv noticed in some levels such as red light district in the corridor where you enter the code that these areas with software enabled (old school as i like it) you are able to see in the areas not very well but you can still see.
Now in opengl i can't see these areas full stop its completely pitch black. Is it meant to be like this or is it a design flaw if so how can i fix it cheers ![]() i am also using the latest version of eduk32

I guess you could mess with the r_shadescale value in the console, or just bump the brightness/contrast/gamma up.

Changing r_shadescale does fix it, but the other controls don't help at all last time I checked.
