How 'bout no? Windows Vista's support for OpenGL games is shit at this time.

It works on Vista if you install video drivers from your card manufacturer, just like you have to do to get it working on XP.

Do you mean "works" as in "it starts up" or "it's completely playable"?

The only thing I've noticed from playing it in Vista (it wasn't my computer, fortunately ) is that it sounds like complete ass.

OpenGL support was nonexistent for ATI cards, at least, at Vista launch. They have since released drivers supporting it & eDuke is running great. \o/

May I be the first to offer condolences to having to deal with Windows ME.

I've never run Duke under ME myself. However, IIRC it was a newer version of Win98, which ran DN3D just peachy.

That said, it would help to post as many details as possible about the problem. This would include error messages (in detail), how far the game gets before it bails, detailed particulars about your system configuration and so forth.

EDIT: probably should start a new thread rather than hijacking this one. I'd put Windows ME in the topic title, for future reference by other people in the same boat.

Nothing works on Windows Vista. Not even Windows Vista works on Windows Vista. And yet Windows ME is indeed worse. I would know, since I was forced to use it for three years.

Sadly mapster32 has a lot keys in 3D and 2d mode that just don't want to work in Vista.

Sounds like it's about just as worse as WinXP Pro 64bit. The instalprograms of C&C3, Doom 3 and Quake 4 don't run on it, just as ZoneAlarm, Acrobat Reader and the Java plugin for Firefox.

Took the liberty of quoting you in my sig, btw.
