Duke Nukem 3D to arrive on Sep 24th!

If you were watching last night, you saw Duke Nukem 3D make a short appearance on the latest episode of Gametrailers TV on the Spike TV channel. You also saw the big news about Duke...

Duke Nukem 3D for the Xbox LIVE Arcade will be released on Wednesday Sep 24th!

The number of points the game will cost has not yet been announced by Microsoft, so we cannot bring you that info. But it will be here in a very short time. Generally Xbox LIVE Arcade games are released at 2AM Pacific Time on the release date, but that can vary. You will want to keep your eyes peeled to Major Nelson's website, where things like that are generally announced in detail.

We will have our own page for the site up shortly, which will have lots of cool info. In the meantime, if you'd like to discuss the game, you can participate in our forums here, or on the Duke3D section over on xbox.com.

Finally, if you'd like to see the episode of Gametrailers TV from last night with the announcement, you can view it online here at the show's website for free!

Next announcement will be the cost of the game. Please MS, don't carry on with the 1200 point trend. I don't mind paying 1200 for castle crashers as it's a brand new title made for XBLA.

DN3D should be 800 MS Points.

I used to own the scoreboard on a Defender cabinet at my old job. I nailed every single player achievement in an hour (roughly, running around for 75 seconds without dying is no fun when you get to a point where it's aggressive chase & collide AI). But there's no one that plays it online to where I can nail the final 3.

It's hard to find a good team in TMNT too.

I digress...

Yeah, we tried to make a good mix of online vs single player. If you're one of those people who want all gamerpoints for a game, then you'll have to play a decent amount of Ranked online games.

It'll be interesting to see how this fairs against Mega Man 9 being released the same day. Looks like there are two games I'll have to grab on XBLA next week. Next week should be pretty much the hotness. I get Godfather collection on bluray, Duke Nukem 3D on XBLA and I haven't quite decided what i will get Mega Man 9 on yet...
