Rampage Warrior for DosBox

Hello, I use the original Shadow Warrior with Dosbox, not JFSW. Is there any way for me to get the mod Rampage Warrior to work? Thanks.

Why not use Swp.exe... anyway...

There might be a way and you just need to try this as its totally untested.
Download the following zipped files:
http://www.proasm.com/files/sw/rwdbox.zip (8 megs)

First unzip all those files into some folder (not sw)
Then rename the .map files exactly as follows:

rwdream.map rename to $whirl.map
rwtown.map rename to $tank.map
rwjail.map rename to $boat.map
rwboat.map rename to $garden.map
rwfarm.map rename to $outpost.map
rwfinal.map rename to $hidtemp.map

Now copy all the files including the renamed ones (176) directly into your SW folder.
Start sw and play the second episode (Code of Honor)
Rampage Warrior should start - no guarentees

To remove them again when you finished just list your folder in date order as all these files are dated 29th March 1999

By the way. I have downloaded RW from your site on totalconversions.com. But I found a zip called rw2 on one of 3dportal mirrors. Was there a sequel?

Anyway, you are the mighty Ben Smit right? You were my god of the past. I always wondered how did you do all those hacks in Shadow Warrior years before source code release. Awesome...

And how to run all those hacked mods for in jfsw (those made with your swgrp - exe + com). To be honest i do the following: I run the rw.com under dosbox and wait untill the com extracts the art and stuff. Then I Alt+Tab the Dosbox and copy the extracted files to the jfsw directory. But it's not perfect, because the com file usually contains some nice changes to the gameplay...

Yeah thats me and the .com file was like a front end launcher in many ways and did have some extra's like pcx startups etc.
The best way to get rw going in dos is as I described at the top as that is a original broken down version.
rw2 was the same as rw, except there was a minor bug found somewhere which I corrected at some stage.
I'm surprised you still found a copy on my old Totalconversions site as I dont have access there anymore, infact they dumped me 2 years ago already

I've downloaded rw2 about two years ago... And I think I've stuck in Jailhouse something level

Anyway, do you have any better idea how to run 'Ben Smit made' addons with jfsw? My method isn't perfect... Or is there a way to extract files from your custom grps (Kextract and Grp Studio don't work)?

And don't tell me you've made your own Sw port...

Swp is a continuation of JFSW with many extra's.
I have put together a complete installation setup but had to borrow another site as my site is still down.
Read the installation info.
Just install it, copy the Sw.grp file into the Swp folder from the CD and get the Sw_Hrp.zip file and put that in the main folder.
Start SwpStartup.exe and play RW or whatever you want.

It includes RW3, Taiwang, LoNukem and 8 excellent user maps.

Yeah. But just one question about it. Are those mods (not made by you) edited to work with your port or can I use the versions I have downloaded years ago...

Many of the mods have been modified with the new SWCustom.txt or equivalent files.
The new port has several new commands also that are needed etc.
So its best to download all the latest as they are all on my site.
