*IF* 3dr somehow found a way to get the game to an external developer shortly after they let their internal team go, it's possible the game is either completed or very near completed.

Remember, they were less than a year from finishing the game before the lawsuit.

It's been over a FULL year now. The timing of the settlement right before E3 is super exciting.

The game *HAS* to show up at E3 this year. A few jabs at Master Chief will be appropriate as well.

"Dismissed with prejudice" means that neither can file another suit on the same claim. Details on the "Settlement Agreement" were not available, though the U.S. Trademark Office indicates that 3D Realms/Apogee Ltd. still owns the Duke Nukem property.

KaiserSoze, even if Duke Nukem Forever should not be presented in some way at E3, another great thing with this is that George and everyone else at 3D Realms can speak freely about the title again without fearing to get themselves thrown in prison.

Even in the case of a settlement, the game will not necesseraly be at E3.

It takes longer than a month to build a proper E3 demo. I remember id stating that building up E3 demos of Doom 3 would take anywhere for three to six months worth of time.

Yes Joe already stated in the E3 Bet thread that it's not happening so, settled case or not, there's gonna be nothing there. I am however thinking we get something DNF related by the end of the year, at least.....hopefully
