Need Balls of Steel help

when trying to play balls of steel
the message
video mode not available
pops up
what shall i do
please help

If you haven't already patched up to BOS 1.2, you'll probably need to do that. There are two patches, one for the shareware version, and one for the registered version.

If you have BOS 1.2, are playing in DirectDraw mode, and still get this error, you may have a problem with your video drivers (display adapter and/or monitor) or DirectX that's making the needed video mode (I think it's 800x600x16) unavailable.

You can run C:\Program Files\DirectX\Setup\DXDiag, and go to the Display tab to make sure DirectDraw acceleration is enabled and functioning properly.
