Cool Interesting Facebook post from Scott Miller about Duke.
Early tonight Scott posted something interesting about Duke being back in the game after taking a break. Text of his post is up at

http://sknr.net/2009/07/08/duke-nukem-may-be-back/

May be nothing, an offhand comment, but may be a glimmer of hope.

When was the last Duke game? He's been gone, but now he's going to be back in these portable games, just like Scott said. Seems pretty clear to me. "If you haven't heard" is clearly referring to news that's already out there (said portable games). Has there been anything said about DNF being back on again that anyone has heard about?

C'mon guys, you're reaching.

Has it occured to u that he could just mean the obvious: Nobody cared about managing Duke's profile on facebook, but now that they have little time they will update it a bit again.

Maybe he was NOT referring to any duke game (i-phone,DNF,etc), but the Duke facebook account itself!

Btw, awesome pics and especially awesome art , but too much bloom. Why all game devs are obsessed with the bloom effect?

None of those are on the Duke Facebook profile.

Duke Nukem Trilogy(PSP/DS) and Duke3D for the Iphone/Touch are coming so anything Duke related will most likely be about those games, not DNF.

You've got another year or more before you find out the "fate" of DNF as that's when the case will be heard.

It's probably for the best to just let go of DNF at this point. I really don't understand why anyone would think the game is even remotely close to being released at this point. Lawsuits, no development team, no money, the game not being done.......I doubt even George can overcome that.

In the perpetually fleeting words of Jeff Goldblum:

Life, uh...

finds a way...

And I think Duke will also. I just don't foresee nobody picking it up, and I don't foresee George abandoning it. Looks too good, too many people want it, too much time put into it to just let it go. Hell, Take Two will probably just roll over and push it eventually.

Enough of this cocktease. Be blunt about it, don't tease. If there is something to discuss, if not, 3D Realms/Radar Group/Scott Miller/George Broussard nor anyone don't start another tease-campaign. It's unjust for the fans.

Indeed. Stop your shit 3D Realms. Just stop it. There's no dev team to work on the game. Stop with the vague cock tease bull shit. It was fine when you HAD a dev team, teasing was fun and it was enjoyable as a fan. You now have no dev team... so ******* stop.

One of the problems is that there is not an official representative of 3d realms in the forums anymore.

At least when Joe was working on the forums he dropped hints of whether there is a truth in these posts, or moved the thread to General Duke discussions if that was the case and so on....

Vague = 3D Realms tm

Cryptic posts ----> speculation ------> hype -----> attention -----> profit ------> cancel DNF -----> poker ------> reset
