There is no dreaming. There is a very high chance that DNF was outsourced last July.

What are you blaming on 3DRealms? The court case, or your foul attitude?

Neither was 3DRealms fault, and the current court case is negatively effecting
3DRealms abilities, and assets, whatever they may be.

I did not see anyone here blame Take2 for making the game take so long to develop, just people who are ready to say how crappy, outdated, and late the game is, and how 3DRealms caused these bad things... and the only bull I see is people with development time entitlement issues. 3DRealms owes you nothing, and neither you or Take2 have anything to say if it takes another 12 years.

If it comes out, you'll have the opportunity to buy it, or not. Take2 will have the opportunity to publish it (maybe). But if you have some kind of evidence that 3DRealms owes anyone anything I'd like to see it.

But you would think that such a prestigious company would like to keep the public's support and hold true to what they say for their own sake.
Making up release dates and then running back on their word isn't exactly the best means of keeping their primary customers happy.
For all intensive purposes, I think that we deserve a little bit of explanation, if anything.

It could also be argued that any large corporate interest would have dropped the development years ago, and moved on... in which case we would have been given even less of an explaination.

As long as the game is released in the end, keeping us happy in the mean time don't mean shit.

We don't actually deserve, nor are we owed, anything.

It would be courteous though, especially considering how may of us contributed to these guys fortunes.

Yes, but had the development been dropped many years ago, minimal explanation would have been acceptable, because we weren't over-hyped for so long.
The shorter the development, the less it hurts.
The cold and hard truth is nice rather than being drug over the coals for years.
