Duke Nukem Build
My Duke Nukem Build is not working in 3D mode. Screen starts to blink and cursor
acts stangely. I can't undrestand nothing in 3D mode. I thougt that this is because i am newbie in DN level making but tables made by other people doesn't work too. |

This is a common problem.
At the avoidance of the risk of repeating myself: www.dukeworld.com/jsbuild I haven't promoted his site for awhile. ------------------ RTCM - Cyborg -->I hate legal mumbo-jumbo. Don't make me use it.<--

Re: Duke Nukem Build
Solution: make sure Build and all it's files are in the SAME DIRECTORY as DUKE3D.GRP because it contains all the textures for the game. That's why 3D mode isn't working.

In 3D mode color is like red or somethin, but if i save it and run in Duke Nukem 3D, the color is gray. I will but this message up too. |

Re: Duke Nukem Build
You are probably missing one of the following files:
BSETUP.EXE -> Setup program for Build BUILD.EXE -> Main Build Executable BUILDHLP.EXE -> Help File for Build EDITART.EXE -> Art Editing Program KEXTRACT.EXE -> This program will let you decompile the .GRP data files LOOKUP.DAT -> Build Data File NAMES.H -> Build Data File PALETTE.DAT -> Build Data File SEHELP.HLP -> Help File for Build SETUP.DAT -> Build Data File STHELP.HLP -> Help File for Build TABLES.DAT -> Build Data File Make sure not to leave any of them out and put them in the duke3d directory with build. You could also try extracting your .art files to see if they work. Type: cd c:\duke3d (or whatever dirve duke3d is on) kextract duke3d.grp *.art to extract your art files. I have found that extracting the art files normally fixes some of the little errors (ie: scrambled textures). If that doesn't help then go check the link cyborg gave you. ------------------ "I'm a doctor, not a computer." - DeForest Kelley |

Re: Duke Nukem Build
Also check if all of them are off read-only! Change them to Archive.
