TNT2U works fine - then all goes black!

When first playing the demo, everything is beautiful, then after about 10-15 mins. the textures start to disappear and then I just am looking at the background textures. The game doesn't seem to lock up, it just displays the background by itself. I checked around and it seems this is not an uncommon problem, but I have not found any solutions. Help?
