Level changes
If you could add or subtract levels from the Dukematch level playlist, what would you do? I've seen a few suggestions posted, but I was wondering what you would change.

Re: Level changes
I'd subtract 'Spin Cycle'. Although the level is cool in concept, it's so difficult to line up shots on the spinning floor, and if you walk and fire RPG/Devastator/Freezer at the same time, the projectiles hit you in the back the moment you slow down, usually killing you.

I would add Faces of Death (sans the monsters), only because it's a bit of a curiosity, has the teleporters, and is relatively free of locked doors.
If not FOD, then I choose Fahrenheit.

Re: Level changes
Add: Farenhiet, Hotel Hell, and Space Port....Maybe Raw Meat and Bank Roll

Those 1st 3 were played heavily by top players back in the day.

Subtract: Spin Cycle, Stadium

Not a fan of Stadium simply because of my precious k/d ratio..

And i've yet to see anyone actually claim they LIKE Spin Cycle..

And it sure would be nice to see a new algorithm used on the Dukematch leaderboards...but i know it's difficult and probably won't happen..

One other thing, extend the time of Hollywood Holocaust 4-player past 10 min. to maybe 25. A good 1 on 1 on Holly can take way longer than 10 min.

Glad to know there are folks still looking to update the game but it may be too little too late at this point; it's difficult to even get a game now..

Oh wait! One last thing: nix the timer reset by those that continually leave and re-enter the lobby....that gets real old real fast.. Maybe after 2 re-entries..

Thx!

We do here. Spin Cycle got a ton of play during testing. It's also my best level. I own people on it.

Re: Level changes
I guess i'm just thinking of the masses. That being said, perhaps you should remove Red Light District. I like the map but most don't seem to enjoy it, or Freeway for that matter. These are the maps i have people bail midgame on me the most. Maybe b/c they're only 4 player? *shrug* Honestly i'm only suggesting them because i was under the impression that to add some you'd have to remove others..?

Or we can just not remove ANY maps and just add to the list! :P

I think all my views are skewed anyway since most people don't like to play me on ANY map anyway..

ps. i'm up for a good spin cycle challenge

No, we could in theory have every single map in the game in the rotation. But nobody would want to play in Derelict. Ugh.

I've played many a dukematch in Hotel Hell. That one's got my vote. And I don't even have a 360 yet.

Or Dark Side. *shudders*

I say enable all of them. Even that little room that was E1L8 in the PC version that could only be accessed from command line.

That was originally in the Arcade game, I found it by accident during testing. It was coded out.

Re: Level changes
Not substract, please. There are levels someone may like, and levels someone may not. Them gave the option to select what levels would be in the rolling...?

"Add"?? Not sure what you mean, some where removed? Well, you guys should add the exclusive levels from PSX, N64 and maybe Saturn. Okay, I guess 3DRealms doesn't own the credits for the making of them all. But it is cool to saying anyway.

No no no no. There's only a select few levels that can be played when you have selected the option of ranked match. Joe means which levels to add to the 'playlist' basically.
