It would be pointless to list my favourites.
I like them all....even Boppin and Xenophage which Scott himself said were 'stinkers'

but the ones that stand out the most are:

1. Bio Menace
2. Rise Of The Triad
3. Duke Nukem 2
4. Crystal Caves
5. Commander Keen
6. Secret Agent
7. Blake Stone: Aliens Of Gold
8. Monster Bash
9. Raptor: Call Of The Shadows
10. Wacky Wheels

I'd love if any of these games got a sequel. espescially Wacky Wheels cuz I want a racing game for the PC that's fun like Mario Kart 64

Check out my thread, entitled "No more Sidescrollers??"

Re: My favorite classic Apogee game!
I don't know much about anyone else but I absolutely loved Boppin'. I'm not sure if that was an Apogee game or not, but it was great. I do have a question for Joe3DR, since he wants a challenge. In Commander Keen 5 (or "Goodbye Galaxy episode 2) When one does the clipping code they can go to a level on the bottom of the map screen. When you enter the level, it starts out but then the game exits DOS and says Goplat moved to a bad spot. What is a Goplat, and why isn't it allowed wherever it went?

Re: My favorite classic Apogee game!
This topic is still going? Oh well, here a re my favourites:

1. Hocus Pocus (This game rules!)
2. The Keen Games (They rule too)
3. Major Stryker (Why was it discontinued?)
4. Wacky Wheels
5. Duke Nukem 1 & 2 (Not 3d)
6. Terminal Velocity
7. Pharoah's Tomb
8. Word Rescue (!)
9. LAMEDuke (I think it's better than Duke3d)
10. Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure

And a question:
Who did the music for Hocus Pocus? That was some of the best music I've ever heard in a game!!!

Re: My favorite classic Apogee game!
no biggie
that game has a bug, the enterance to the secret level can only be accessed when you play the game in the harder levels, (i.e., not "easy") when you play the game in the easy level, the game crashes cause a moving (going) platform is not located there.
btw, in the now deceaed Keen community, the Scottish Geezers (Scotties) in the Keen5 secret level were misnamed "Goplats" because of that

Re: My favorite classic Apogee game!
Thank you very much Moonbuzz. I will play it again and find out what that level contains. I wonder, though if there is a non-cheating way to get to it. Anyways, thanks a lot.

Re: My favorite classic Apogee game!
I'd forgotten about Dark Ages. That was a pretty cool game. When I think of classic Apogee games, I think of Secret Agent, Keen, etc.

Hey that reminds me... I've been meaning to register Raptor since it came out! Maybe I should do that some day

Spear of Destiny? That's not an Apogee game.

Anyways...

Hocus Pocus - one of the best!
Commander Keen - especially 5&6
Raptor
Major Stryker
Duke 1&2 don't like the 3D one
Paganitzu
Cosmo's Cosmic Adventures
Monster Bash
Wolfenstein

Re: My favorite classic Apogee game!
At the moment, my fav Apogee game would be Wolfenstein. MEEHE WOLFENSTEIN!!! RICE! Yeah. I'm doing my own graphics set at the moment Cuz the normal one is boring after all these years. I like Apogee games. I haven't played any 3d Realms games yet.

Re: My favorite classic Apogee game!
no offense but how can you call your site the #1 rott site? You don't even have any levels for it.

Also to the other guy: If you have never played a 3drealms game, how did you happen upon this site? (www.3drealms.com)

Re: My favorite classic Apogee game!
I happened upon this site by yonks ago looking for an Apogee website, and I found apogee1.com I tried that again a couple of days ago and it didn't work for some reason, but I knew 3drealms.com and apogee1.com went to the same website so yeah. and I still haven't played a 3drealms game.
