Client/Server Rise of the Triad
Now, I know that there have already been a couple threads about playing multiplayer (including the ongoing WinROTT thread), but I decided to make this one to emphasize the possibility of introducing client-server architecture.

Since it's 2013 and we wanna play ROTT smoothly, it's about time we moved on from the original IPX-based peer-to-peer networking format. Seriously. Doom finally got its blessing way back around 2000 when csDoom came out. Would it be that hard to do it?

Let's discuss this.

From Facebook and Steam, there's a group that is exclusively for the classical ROTT multiplayer. I have no idea if it supports servers. I don't think so, because it plays ROTT under Dosbox IPX and Hamachi.

Having server/clients for ROTT multiplayer would be amazing, but a fully functional TCP/IP multiplayer mode has to be done first.
