there are some strange things going on, thats for sure...

Tramell Isaac wrote in his last post about the development of DNF:

I say they just started to hype DNF more subtle than before!

the day when the "DNF is done" message appeared on the 3DR frontpage. Nukem Dave was online at the moment and George was too. Strange thing is it was very early in the morning, when Georgy should've been asleep.
Do we have proof of him talking to the authorities about it?

I was 7 when DNF was announced and even I was looking forward to it. Over the years, I have learned to stop thinking to much into it, it not worth losing my brain cells for a company that can't pull there head out of there ass, or as Duke would say. "Your face, your ass, what's the difference?"

To me, shit hit the fan, and George is sitting there playing WoW pretending to clean it up. Now lets kill a few braincells after all.

If the lawsuit is real, leaving us in the dark is meh. The lawsuit is invalid until they hit the deadline, there was nothing in the lawsuit that stated they had to halt production. So they technically have no reason to leave us in the dark, it wont hurt them until 2012.

If the lawsuit is fake, they are stupid. End of that, don't fake shit like that. You have 8,000 fans on Facebook, how many would you have if you quit ******* with us? You are losing fans by leaving us in the dark.

Jon St. John, is just a guy behind the voice of Duke Nukem, he can drop all the hints he wants he doesn't know shit, he reads from a script in a studio, gets paid, and goes home.

I believe that DNF is too far developed to be scrapped. Pretty much a year ago, George said

Which i estimated is about 80 - 90% done, one question that still bugs me is that why stop development when the finish line is in sight?. Yes wages and expenses might had to have come out of GB and SM's personal fortune but considering that within the year DNF would have most likely been finished and the chance that all expenses would have been repaid, 3DR's reputation would have been intact and that chance of GB and SM to make a huge profit, but as fate would have it, the dev team didn't quit but George and Scott did.

So yes... i do think that something very fishy is going on here.

When the hell did this happen? Do we have a screen of the frontpage? Also just because stuff was leaked didn't mean that the devs didn't leave the game with pride. They put stuff up on their personal sites with intentions to get jobs not to screw 3DR or leak information.

Nukem Dave has the screen, which is why him being online would be important. George being online when the update occurred is important because he is one of the few people that can update the front page and he is almost never online anymore.

DNF tech was actually confiscated by the pentagon to train marines,just as Doom was used.

Great point and true! The real question is...is Take2 serious about this lawsuit? I do believe and know the lawsuit is real, but if you look back at all the info we've got from May 2009 until now, you will find things that just doesn't sit right as Jobi pointed out above. You can't deny that stuff, it's right in front of your faces. Until I see proof of a trial, I'm not fully buying into this. My friend went to the courthouse on the date of the first, original trial, which was delayed as we all know. No sign of 3DR, nor Take2. Anyway, what I'm saying is that this lawsuit is no big deal yet. All this lawsuit consists of is documents so far, and these documents can probably be threw-out/cancelled at any time by Take2.

And no, no one is saying the development team was not let go, but I think it is possible we could be steered in the wrong direction as of why they were really let go.

One last thing, let me ask everyone a question here because I'm not certain about this. Let's say a company is making a PC game and they are planning to port it to consoles. At what point in the development of the main PC game do they start porting it to the consoles? Do they wait until the PC version is completely finished or until it's nearly finished? It seems to me they would wait until the PC version is complete. That would seem to be an easier way to do it. Knowing the answer to this will get something off of my chest that I've had there for a while.

Not these days, no. They are mostly developed side by side. You would also be VERY lucky to find a First Person Shooter that is primarily developed for the PC.

DNF for the 360 was no secret (it really is silly NOT to put your shooter on 360). I would have purchased both the PC and 360 versions

Correct. I knew it was ever since I seen it listed as a 360 game on Gamasutra along with more confirmation later on. After seeing the 360 port in action though, including the PC version, it's hard to believe Take2 would do what they did, assuming they're really serious.
