Prey up for VGA awards

We've been told that Prey has been nominated for some awards at the 2006 Spike TV videogame awards. If you head to Spike's VGA site, you can vote on several categories. Prey's up for these categories:

Best Shooter of the Year
Cyber Vixen of the Year (for Jen)

They did not nominate the soundtrack for Prey unfortunately, but the Elder Scrolls IV soundtrack was nominated, and that was the same guy. So head over to the Spike VGA site and vote for Prey. The awards will be announced December 13th when the show airs.

Hmmm I really hope VGA does a better job with the award ceremony this year cause the first time I saw the VGAs it was utter crap.

Reading through the Game of the Year nominates, I wondered why Prey isn´t in there, oh well, congrats to HumanHead and 3DRealms. You got my vote.

LOL Best performance Male - Depp sounded so bad in the Pirates of the Caribbean game. OMG WTF.

(I voted Prey where I could, Oblivion in other places, 2142 and CoH)

Some of those Nominations are really bad though.

Does anyone take the VGA awards seriously? I mean I don't want to sound condescending here, but that award show is nothing but MTV grade crap. One look at their categories usually gives you that impression, let alone when they award games like Fifty Cent anything.

Yea pretty much. No offence but I think those awards are rigged. FEAR didnt win anything last year. And I dout Jen will win best female. =(

Nominations sucked. Ended up going for Prey/Oblivion/2142 on every one possible. So many lame crappy console games nominated, jeez.

Well, we'll change that a bit, I hope that Prey will get a significant turnout for the voters of the VGA Awards. I'm gonna go out and a limb and do this thing. I mean, G4's G-Phoria was better than Spike TV's VGA Awards.

EDIT: Done and done, I made sure to send some votes to represent our forum, hopefully I made some decent choices for everyone.

Plumb straight, and those two had BETTER be the ultimate winners. Well, maybe except for one vote, I think I did vote for Gears of War on a couple of them, but outside of that, I did vote Prey and Oblivion myself.
