Max Payne leaves NY in MP3
If you go on xbox live, check out the MP & MP2 page, there is a MP3 section. In the description it says he(Max) "...leaves the NYPD and NEW YORK ITSELF"

so there is the proof.

I read somewhere that he even leaves the entire world at some point, of course to save it. However Duke takes it from that point, I guess.
