what if the programmers at apogee took over working on dnf
after the team at 3d realms were fired? Maybe that is why critical mass is delayed. And at the duke nukem facebook-fanpage, there is a picture from dnf (d-day pic), and a picture from critical mass (the christmas-card).

That could just be it, as Apogee has always been Scott's devision of the company while George was with 3DRealms and it's team. Now Scott talks more Duke than ever.. Maybe the decision to drop 3DRealms' internal developement team will bring fortunate consequences in the end, after all, George is fine and Scott is talking about both DNF and Critical Mass (yes he is, the pictures are basically talking as well).

Scott did say he liked the Prey/Max Payne way of development better than having internal teams so perhaps this theory has some truth to it.

Duke Nukem needs internal dev team , it's a high quality game , of the sound of it , miller is helping George with the financial stuff , but I just hope they don't dump the internal team altogether I mean that's the core of 3DR , there is no 3DR without a team that is on the project realtime and REALTIME direction of the game so it's as perfect as it's planned , miller likes that no dev team more cause he's the money man.(great investment, low risk,) But I bet George knows that a dev team at site full time is way more needed for duke than any onther game.

Without that 3DR is just a publisher , which sounds , mainstream. Not what the duke should be like.


Yes , good two guys , someones secures enough assets with good other investments , the other one is , probably the best guy in PC gaming , love for games not money , PC gaming is becoming weak , that won't stop him , cause Duke's going to beat them all stupid console ports and crappy MW2 the biggest crap shit game I ever seen and hyped to death.

3DRealms is the perfect duo , + the dev team (keep that in mind miller )

I think 3DR isn't that stupid , when DNF gets out those ex-employees will get the money back and the bonuses they should get , first of all , they really deserve the money , they also need it , ... but in the end they have been promised that they get share bonus for every title sold i think this is the best idea 3DR has but I hope , secondly those devs might be encouraged to get back to 3DR if they receive that what they do deserve , i think those were some fine men cause they looked 3DR that really needs help , they almost made it ... , 96% of the game was completed in Ma(someting like that)
and there were only 35 people , people don't realize that some companies have more than 100 employees at one project , no wonder why 3DR taken so long.

What there's more to say , a lot more can be praised , but my final though is, if the game has a different kind of protection that it's normally used by crap games , example is (wiki) "the StarForce 3.0-protected game Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory was uncracked for 422 days" ... even 3 months is enough , people will fed up waiting and snatch it , + giving it a 35 dollar cost(technically it's easily worth more than 100bucks) , it's a total winner , i think it might sell way way more than MW2.

Just how jace hall described the game over the phone after the show.... so "little" stuff about DNF but it makes clear what will be when it will be, comparing DNF , it's like our Sun , and MW2 is like a ******* moon of saturn.

I think DNF is going the most unique and distinct looking game ever from all other ... that's because 3DR doesn't copy other's way of developement and surely not the engine like most other games. The other thing is , the game will look way different from others that's key thing , it will look odd to newcomers , but it will play and have the SOUL of the true duke game , and that SOUL is the grand KEY. C&C post Westwood lost it's soul as i was a big fan of it , it was not C&C anymore then , it was "every year same EA's crap"

Jace hall is an interesting guy , I can see he didn't had enough words to describe the game in the script on the show at first , so the phone interview really makes clear he's really talking him self and actually realizing what he saw at 3DR that's something never been done before.

nope, i know wiki sometimes got false informations ... for example, the french language version of the article about 3DR says it was founded in 1994 and only scott is referenced as key founder. And the english version of the article says 3DR was founded in 1987 by both GB and SM ... Anyways, i found that quite funny to see ...

When the closure/layoffs were announced, the wiki was immediately changed from "3DR is..." to "3DR was..."

It was changed back within a week.

Although I use Wikipedia as a general reference all the time, I also check the references for anything that's really important to me.
