Sounds bad, but there it is. I hope that one day the joke game might be made, but it's been a joke for years. Also, it's a good area for humour, thanks to the character of Duke. So it's not entirely bad.

No, I'm just being nice. It is entirely bad. Unless it is ever released. It's been too long now to be anything else. The bad of the delay and the bad of the repeated pretence that it's coming soon outweighs the good of the potential game and has done for a long time.

If it's released, though, that will be a different matter. If it's released, it will be very good indeed.

Frustration.

As much as I feel that this game will be spectacular if it ever sees the light of day, it frustrates me to know that we are all still in the dark on the project.

I have no doubt DNF will be amazing but the teasing lately has been almost torturous. We all get excited thinking that the teasing is leading to something substantial but once again it seems to lead to no where. I would love for George to post a straight to the point twitter post instead of us all trying to decipher its message. If that was the case I would be alot happier with GB's twitter posts.

It is time to get straight to the point now 3D Realms. No more mind games. No more decryptic messages. No more teasing. We all know this wonderful game is extremely close. There is no need to not be straight with us fans anymore. I would love to know exactly how this game is coming along. Georges posts would be alot more effective IMO if they weren't misleading. If we could all get our facts straight i'm sure the community would be a lot happier with DNF's progress. We would not have to complain as we would know what to expect and where the development process is at.

From Georges recent twitter posts I assume that the game is extremely close and that 3D Realms are starting to get excited at DNF's progress. I hope I have interpreted it correctly. I apologise if I have assumed something wrongly.

Vapourware.

Technically the game will cease to be vapourware after release, but I suspect that in a more figurative way it will remain vapour-like, as in not resembling the über-game I had a vague but hopeful/wishful notion of circa 2001.
