3d realm box?
Since a few years you can play the games made by lucas arts on a box, the scumm box. I have been trying to install some old games made by 3d realms on a dosbox, but it doesn't work. Can't those guys at 3d realms make a 3d realm box so we can play duke nukem and lots of other old realm games on a xp machine? It is just an idea!

regards, andre

Has already been done by fans... But only certain games...
Duke3D has a port (or "box" as you call it) that makes it runs just fine on XP machines...

Not sure about the older games... they should work on Dosbox just fine i guess...

If you want a Duke3D port to make it run on XP, we can provide a link...

Box? As in DosBox? Blood works with Dosbox in the latest version, I don't see why Duke wouldn't.

You CAN run Duke Nukem 3D on XP without any DosBox. The best choice is ports. You can also run original duke in 320x200 resolution or use patch NOLFB from http://advsys.net/ken/build.htm .

How to run in DosBox:
In DosBox, write:
mount <Any letter> <address of folder DUKE3D.EXE is in>
Then:
<Letter written in first step>:
And finally:
duke3d

Eduke32 is the best option - all the other ports / methods are inferior to it.

The deathmask works very well if you want to play vanilla.
