How do I open doors?

Well, cool game and that, but I was wondering how to open doors, and the Mouse1 button didn't do the trick...

Doors open automatically or with a display switch.

Great... Got it now... Just love those portals in the game, tho, THOSE seem to be like doors themselves, just crouch, and teleport through. SAWEET!!!

In singleplayer some portals are like that...
