Ted How come Duke Nukem I and II aren't on GoG?
I played the shareware version of Duke Nukem 1 two years ago, and I've love to play the full game. You guys have 3D and Manhatten on GoG; why not add the original two while you're at it?

Not sure. But they are available at the 3D Realms store as a digital download.

Well, since we can post again... I thought it would be a good time to bring this up.

Why are the first two games not on GOG.com?

Seeing as they come free on the Duke Nukem 3D CD ROM, I would think it wise of 3D Realms to offer them for download to anyone who buys Duke Nukem 3D... but that is just me.
They can't cost much anyway really though. You can buy them on eBay for very little and have a physical copy.

Like here...
Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem II and Duke Nukem 1.
Buy it Now for $7 + Shipping.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Duke-Nukem-3D-PC...-/270620517172

Same for $9.99 plus shipping...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Duke-Nukem-3D-Co...-/400161541386

If you are a collector and want physical copies of these programs, they can be had for modern game prices...

Here is a full version of Duke Nukem II for instance.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Duke-Nukem-II-PC...-/120630661834

If you aren't used to dealing with DOS programs on modern systems, your best bet is to download them from 3D Realms store as they are already packaged with DOSBox.

Joe or someone had said they lost the source code for Duke 1 & 2.

Yeah, but that code isn't needed to put the data files, along with DOSBox, in an installer.

That has not been the case since 1996. Duke I & II (the full games) were only on the v1.3d registered CD-ROM. Subsequent pressings of the registered version of the disc (v1.4 & 1.5) did NOT have that.

That was a limited time offer, and was discontinued back in the fall of 1996. That's not a viable comparison here.

Interesting, I never knew that! I have 8 copies of it... must be all 1.3D. I have never looked at the other CD roms I have on the server for Duke Nukem 1 and 2 as they are already installed on every computer I own.

Learn something new every day... should put that on Wikipedia somewhere as trivia.

I had wanted to buy Atomic CD as I thought those games would be included on the disc. I waited till now to buy them as they were all cheap compared to back then.

This is a bit of an old bump, but why aren't they on gog.com? I don't mind buying from you guys, but I'd like to have it on gog.com as well.
