We haven't even *touched* on his hair that much. As a matter of fact, he should be able to change hairstyles throughout the game. You know, like disguises and neato stuff like that.

Mohawks, afros, bald, spiked, braids, you name it, by golly Duke Nukem Forever should have it!

Hell, even a mullet!

i knew it, 3D Realms did it again, this is gonna be the best game ever made, the graphics are better then Metal Gear Solid 4 and Crysis, i can't wait until this game comes out. I really hope this isn't a joke. It was worth the wait.

I didn't read the intire thread and I don't know if somebody posted this but...
That pic doesn't make any sense to me at the moment.
IF!! If... this pic (poor quality by the way) is from the real deal, why the hell is he holding 2 guns??
Well, yes I know it looks cool but George said a few years back that "akimbo" guns/mode will not be a feature in the final game.
I found it somewhere in the duke FAQ a while ago...
Has something changed? Did I miss anything while being dead for 6 months?
Or is it just a damn toy? Toy Story 3 - The missing Duke figure

Yes .. it is very clear from this screenshot .. and also the sound is incredible and the gameplay .. this game really turned out to be everything we hoped for... hmm..

Anyway .. looking at the content of their http://www.3drealms.com/phpAds/adcli...Fgethired.html it seems there are still some work to be done ...

I actually think I'm okay with the new hair. Duke purists might be a little put off, and understandably so, but the truth is Duke has been outside of the gaming world for quite some time -- to me, it only makes sense that Duke comes back a little older, and a little angrier I think the new hair helps to establish him as a character who can be taken a little more seriously; and if that's indicative of the direction DNF is coming from, then I couldn't be more satisfied.

Still, there's so much about Duke that is immediately recognizable in that screenshot; he's tough as nails, has the shades, and the badass sneer. Weider said it was a bit like Sonic without the spikes -- even as a "Duke fan," I kind of see it as Sonic with, uh, 'different' spikes :}

If Duke was bald, then we'd have to take this whole game back to formula.

Nicely put Spooger. I like both the old and new look, so I'm not fussed either way. It is nice to see some smaller details being tweaked with, as it shows it to be a bit more modern and perhaps more realistic imagination of the character. I hope the attention to detail in the shot, carries out to all the NPCs within the rest of the game.

OK, I think we've run our course. When there's four pages of people still saying it's not real, four pages of people posting spelling errors, four pages of nothing but repeating what was already posted the previous 36 pages, four pages of what Duke's hair should look like, four pages of "Duke's a dead franchise (chuckle)"...
