Problems With installation...
When I try to install the game with the patch, I get an error saying "rlmfc.dll was not found. Reinstalling the aplication may fix this problem." Does anyone know how I can fix this. I'm using XP, btw.

The problem there was to do with a sound driver incompatibility. In your case, it might be with just the DLL being missing. Download the DLL here - http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?rlmfc Scan it to ensure the file is not malicious. Extract it to C:\Windows\System32, replacing C:\ with whether your Windows folder resides. Register it like so with Start -> Run: Code:
regsvr32 "C:\Windows\System32\rlmfc.dll" Hope this helps.

Re: Problems With installation...
Ok, now im getting a new message. When I go to install, it says "Setup Could not update file e2mfc.dll. Make sure the file isn't in use. Close all other apllications and start the setup again."
Another problem was when I tried to register rlmfc.dll it says "LoadLibraryC:\Windows\System32\rlmfc.dll has failed. Access is denied." Can anyone help me? |

Re: Problems With installation...
If access is denied when you try to register the DLL it might be because you are a limited or power user rather than an administrator. Are you logged in as an administrator?
Also does this happen when you first run the setup program or at sometime while installation is running?

Re: Problems With installation...
I logged off and then logged in, and now when I try to register it I get a message saying ".../rlmfc.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file can not be registered."
I get the other message about the file not being able to update after I start the installation, right after it detects for my game. |

Re: Problems With installation...
Yes, you could try http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?e2mfc.
If it was complaining about the missing DLL before when you tried to register it. Maybe put both of these DLLs in your Max Payne directory. Some DLLs are put in the same directory as the program that uses them.

Re: Problems With installation...
I've been going along downloading the dll files needed, but now its asking me for e2_d3d8_driver_mfc.dll. I have the file in my max payne folder with the others but it's not detecting it. It keeps saying it can't update it.

Re: Problems With installation...
SUCCESS! It works!
I figured I would download the demo, seeing as it would probabily come with the required .dll files. I moved all the demos .dll files to my max payne folder and ran the patch. For some reason the patch couldn't update the e2driver I downloaded. Thank you for helping me. |
