I dream about sometimes. One was I saw the release date on the computer I fell back in my chair. I pre-ordered it. I picked it up on midnight at game stop played it intill 3:00. And the game kicks butt.

Last night I dreamed about DNF!!

I was checking the 3DRealms frontpage as I always do when I read "It's done, release date coming soon!"

When I logged on the forums....there was a downloable video!! And it was one hour long and about 1Gb in size O________O

So, I started downloading it, telling anybody the day has come. And the long video justified all the wait.

Sadly my internet was slow and I couldn't finish downloading the vid

I dream about it every month or so... The last one I dreamed that I saw George post some DNF Ingame Footage of Duke running and blasting Mutated Pigs with his devastator cannons to the Hoover Dam. When he reached the Hoover Dam, a Huge Octabrain came out of the water and Duke had only minutes to reach the top of the Hoover Dam before the Octabrain got him. He needed to reach the top so he can get a clear shot at him.

It was quite thrilling and exciting, I can't wait to see more DNF in dream and in real life hahahaha!!

I did play all these monster FPS games ... while I don't like horror but heck anyways finished them.

(sorry for my english , and also , It was next moment i waked up when I was writing)

So here it goes ,to my remembering , on this day , a day after my birthday (lol i noticed this right now) it's the third time I am dreaming of a First person perspective to be a some person in a real* situation ... it was in the guy's eyes not infront of the PC of any kind. After waking , it really felt like i was dreaming about some really familiar stuff , as it was all mixed , but not really , my mind was generating so much detail I can't explain , but it remember, it made imaginary weapons and ammo but being some bit similar from real life and other but i wish i would remember the names of the ammo , they were shown on the boxes around the alien facility ;

so the facility looked like a alien FPS but not actually having aliens so ,not actual aliens those who look like people with big eyes I hate those are scarry, thankfully my mind doesn't dream about them, ok, so im in this large steel facility with a crap loads of everything I would love to explain more but you know , 80% you don't remember but i have slight visions .... ;

a steel facility with lots of ways , corridors, details, red alarm lights , ventilation shafts , jumping platforms , doors , posters on walls , hidden passages behind large carpets , or some i don't know what it was some big theatre looking with light in it and covered with strips of carpet , and a passage was behind it , some space fighters flying around the facility big passages for them ... like background environment in games ; in action I did not thought of any thing being familiar cause I was dreaming like it was for real.

The strategy was also BIG , I had some friends in the action , but those died I don't know , they were just gone at some point ,... some were actually real life persons in this dream lol , ok , about the strategy , well it was nothing like in any of these games , one thing I remember was a part when my in action friends were gone ,
we stumbled upon a narrowing way with some other ways .. it was turning to be a ventilation shaft , with many turns and stuff , so a bit guys were confused stopped right in before the opening to another ventilation , there was some other way too but it was dark , another moment these CREEPY noises scared the hell out of me are starting to get closer , the monster that was after us was some big or something I don't know , it had a read light or what so it was seen coming behind as red light was visible , you know what i mean , there were also different red lights for alarm lights in the ventilation , the mission just popuped into my mind, there was a important box in the way , so I knew what to do to grab the box and run away , that's what I did , and that monster keep following me through the whole rest of the mission(dream) ... other creeps I would came across were those privates , easy soldiers , they were all red , looking like big fat pigs with mutated faces and being armed and suited for combat,
Furthermore the scene was also , I was looking behind me after I came in the every door I passed , that monster behind me just smashed the door with crazy cinematic look and i was really afraid , first time in a dream huh.

Then there was some bit of obstacles , especially the square fence blocking the ventilation in some parts ( you know the thing you bolt on when a airshaft-pipe meets end, those were lot bigger)

I remember one weapon the most , CRAP i don't remember the AMMO name it was clearly visible, .. so it was like a small pistol , it actually looked like PEZ , but certainly didn't have heads on top , .. it was a trigger there , the ammo was some small super advanced square like bullets (like pez candy) , and well it really scooped up around 30 ammo,(like a game when you go pass ammo and you load it automatically , but i remember opening the ammo box with my hands > THAT WAS COOL, carrying around it too, plus seeing all the ammo and how it was disappearing when you load it)

Ok next room there were some edge-outs to jump on , the whole room was a big shaft one leading downwards(to death if you jumped) the other towards the right and into the facility somewhere ... there was an edge to jump to the left and to the right , to the left was a big poster , so I turned to right and it was a big theatre looking screen on the wall with some strips of carped down , there were two , the other was on the same wall but ahead a few meters , so I just tried what's behind those screens , and another but small poster poped up , ahead was an opening , next room I came across 3 red pigs , actually didn't know how to use that super small fit-in-hand PEZ Gun (barrel looked like a pencil, it was grey-silver) , crap still don't remember the ammo name, it was a really cool fancy scientific name but oh well.

So I end up running away , those pigs chased me , so I jumped back , and tho the previously mentioned left side where big poster was , that poster was teared down , instead it was a door which trapped some other pig( the doors clamped his neck so it looked like a head out of the closed steel elevator-like door(2 doors closing each half of the side or the shaft, you know what I mean) ,, little on ... dreams were over

Omg when I waked up , I don't know how didn't I got familiar with it , but the BIG poster was a guy on the right, which looked like possibly Duke , hanging a gun over a monster who was on the left side , and there were some writtings I didn't see (it was across the shaft) , the other poster , which i saw close , it was clearly like a Duke poster , him standing on those nuclear barrels , but this case there was nuclear barrels around , it was a 3D Realms logo in the center he was standing on with one leg , and other leg to aside a bit, ... I don't remember what it was written directly , but i remember it was meant to be a cinema poster for a movie.

There were more stuff in previous days , my birthday was on 21 april , i dreamed about these stuff for 3 days around , it always happened last part of dreams (towards morning) , I wish I would remember details of other fancy guns and stuff ... I will see if I will get more info tomorrow.


SO this means DNF is really close? , or something happened? lol
I actually live on the other side of the world from the studio so ...

I don't know how it might be connected, but this is a heck of alot ideas as to what could be done in a game... man i really hope i would dream about this next night!

Man ... creepy... these were 3 dreams in 3 nights in a ROW

I slightly remember previous dreams , containing some space ships, some really interesting space guns and some other stuff i really see flashes but can't remember directly nor explain it.

Oh the graphics looked superb , they were unique , i think they were more DOOM3 like but don't hold my word , I played 30 min of doom 3 in friends house 4 years ago. They were not UT3 like , instead maybe also like a heavily improved Quake 4 or something looking monsterous and darky shafts with lonely lights and alarms , well in other words , it's real DNF then!!!!!!!!

maybe it's the 6 sense at it's work?

I'm curious as to what country you're from. Anyway, I read through the whole thing, but I couldn't understand about a third of it. I like the idea of how you're feeling safe, surrounded by allies, then suddenly your allies are gone and there's a huge monster about to attack you out of the darkness. I love getting scared in dreams.

In relation to the original thread, I dreamed about how I had ordered DNF and was 100% sure I would get it tomorrow, so I went to sleep in my dream. When I woke up, I was really disappointed.

But I did have a dream that I think most of you should find humorous.

My dream started out as me sitting on my computer, checking the 3DR website, and cliched as always, the front page said "it's done". The dream skipped to me getting the game and playing the hell out of it. Then after I beat the game, I hear a voice behind me say "Congratulations!"; freaked out by this I turn around, and behind me is George B. with a giant plate of BBQ in his hand, and a 12 pack of Dr.Pepper in the other. And all I say is "I can has BBQ?".

Then the dream skipped forward to me at this ceremony (like the one in Starwars where Hon Solo gets his medal/whatever it is). I walk up these steps and George B. and the 3DR team give me a medal of awesomeness, and a plate of BBQ to take home.

Then I woke up and said wtf. Weirdest dream ever.

I had a dream about Duke Nukem 3D. I can't remember much, but it was like I was actually in the level. The only thing that stopped it from seeming completely real was that my health and ammo count was somehow displayed at the bottom of my view (I had only 6hp left, even though I felt fine. WTF?) Then it mysteriously turned into a fantasy RPG where I had to fight this HUGE monster, with nothing but my mighty boot, then I realised that I had wasted all my time instead of learning magic spells to attack it. So I surrendered, and the HUGE evil boss and I became good friends. True dream.

Last night, I dreamed that a CNN entertainment reporter was going to interview George about the dev cycle of DNF. It's been raining a lot in Dallas the past few days, with parts of Dallas county flooding, and that was in my dream. George's backyard flooded, and damaged part of his house, so the interview wasn't aired. However, the reporter did get to talk to George. He reported his findings to none other than Larry King, live on the air.

When Larry asked the reporter questions about DNF, the reporter said, "Well, I can't tell you anything I don't know for sure." Larry said, "So, what do you know for sure about this game?"

The reporter said, "George confirms Duke Nukem Forever has gone gold and the release date is this Sunday, May 9th."

I nearly crapped myself in the dream.

I had a dream that I was playing through DNF in a massive city location (it wasn't actually Las Vegas) and everything had fallen into ruins. I kept thinking how cool it was to finally be playing it, and wondering what everyone else on the forums thought of the game. I figured there'd be too much to read through so I decided to just get stuck back into it instead!
