Max Payne & Windows Vista...
Is there any way of getting Max Payne to work on Windows Vista? I hadn't played it in such a long time, so thought I'd reinstall it, but I can't get the darn thing to run properly!
It installs fine, starts up fine, but as soon as I try and begin a level, it just crashes. Any ideas, guys? DP. |

Re: Max Payne & Windows Vista...
OK, after patching the game to v1.05, I can now begin the first level, but there is no audio in the cut scenes or graphic novel sequences...

Re: Max Payne & Windows Vista...
Vista sucks with older games now, face it. Try dual booting with Vista and XP together. Even try microsoft virtual PC.

Even if I ever switch to Vista, I'll still have a XP version installed on my system! Do that!

Re: Max Payne & Windows Vista...
He, I still have my Win 95.. so noway to sell it, and my xp either.. It's like Wii bein compatible with GC games, anyway if I had both consoles I wouldn't sell my GC... or my PS2 if I had a PS3, or my xbox if I buy a 360..
PS: Just to make it clear, I don't have any of the consoles named before, just my win 95 and my win xp and some old stuff..

Re: Max Payne & Windows Vista...
that is fairly obvious as else you would have known that wii is really compatible with all GC games (unlike the other 2)

Re: Max Payne & Windows Vista...
well it also happened to me, that's why I reinstalled XP rather than use Vista for games
