Duke Forever Jar
I made this the other day. I taped it to an empty Ragu jar. I will put all of my spare change into the jar from now on, and when the game comes out, I will buy as many copies as can be had with it. Ignore the timestamp, that's the camera's fault. It wasn't really that long ago.

Duke has 6 fingers and a thumb... NICE

Just imagine how much money you would have had if you started saving up money at the beginning of the development process. You would have like 1000 DNF copies.

I made a DNF resolution to exercise everyday until Duke came out. Well, I didn't do that everyday, but I'm pretty buff now!

Good idea.

By the time the game comes out, you'll be so rich that you can buy the whole company and then you'll be able to post all the juicy details of DNF's development saga for us to revel in.

It will be even more fun than the game itself!

What if its not even an interesting story?

Its just guys working on computers for over a decade... and an occasional E3 visit in the early years...

Then again it could be the greatest development story ever.

If you had started dropping change into a jar for DNF in the beginning and you averaged 30p in change per day, you would now have about £1300 in the jar...and a very flat area of carpet under it

It would be extremely surprising if it was released in the next month or two, given that there is nothing to indicate that 3DR are planning to release it.

It's possible that they'll go for a surprise release and that previous talk of hyping it up was misdirection. That would be novel. No marketing prior to release, no building up to it, no trailer. Odd, but DNF has been made unique by it's farcical delay and so maybe 3DR have decided on a unique (lack of) pre-release marketing as a result.

But I wouldn't put money on that. I think DNF is not close to being released. In fact, I think it will never be released. But who knows? Guns and Roses just released Chinese Democracy, which was also expected to never happen.

If you'd been saving up from when they had first announced DNF, you would probably have enough money to actually buy 3DR outright. Then you would be able to tell them when to release the game.

You'd need a pretty big jar for all those quarters though. If you didn't buy the company, then you could always threaten to roll the jar over Texas, squashing large numbers of the population, unless they released the game.

Great idea dude. I think we can try to do so, if we merge our jars.
But i think it's time to share bucks and screw our own interests cuz of that damn financial crisis. I'm ready to help 3D Realms if they'll have some probs with DNF release.
Ye sure i can't give a lot by myself - but together we can.

I have some money but I dont sell my shares now.
And whats the point of buying the company? There would still be no game.

I'd love to help getting DNF done and all but it not like its gonna cure cancer or anything lile that. So if I'm gonna spend my money I will concider some other companies first. Preferably a company that is not known to spend all money on hookers, drugs and pizzas ;-P

I'm still gonna tell my investment advisor about my idea of spending all my money on DNF. He's gonna laugh his ass off.

I have about 10 pounds of coin money here (not that I actually put it on the scales but its a lot). I'd give all that to 3DR.

I'm big on saving change and I have a big tub of it, that I always try to save until New Years rolls around.

Unfortunately, I always need extra money before that time comes, so the whole saving change thing never really adds up as much as I want it to.
