They STILL have to prove it somehow,don't they? I mean they can't say that from the day the dev was laid off until the trial (9 months) they did nothing

edit: Btw i believe that Scott has the legal right to show the boss. I mean Take Two has given their permission to do so when they released the xmas screenshot with all the monsters. It is also why i believe that everything else in these new pics (the hooverdam,the water,etc) are NOT from DNF but created recently just for us, because they may not have the right to use the in-game hooverdam

Yeah I did, but I doubt it. I'm sure they already have enough on their plate.

Plus if they were the law suit wouldn't still be on, or at least that's what seems logical.

Hey I think I just discovered something on duke's facebook!
By all means call me paranoid but check this out.
He posted yesterday a message that you all read by now.
The message is "definition: stalemate -- after you've had her once. heh heh"
Now what I think he meant with that random message was to actually give us a hint into the trial status.
Can't you see people, he told us that the trial is in "Stalemate".
The word stalemate is used as a standard in courts and it points to the fact that the court has problems solving the case until further details from both sides.
I posted a comment there with this idea and a guy called James Lin commented something like "Oh no you didn't!

Does anybody know a James Lin working in the gaming industry, maybe even 3drealms former worker?

Looking at those 4 images from Facebook again, after the first 2 images got posted we posted the strom whether it is releated to DNF or whether they signal the impending release of DN handheld shovelware. The second 2 pics does have DNF logos in them. So it looks to me that Scott is trying to say this to us "yes it is releated to DNF you dumbheads ! See I now added the logos in the second 2 images so that you chicken heads dont get confused "

Cutting a leg or an arm off(yes, i'am refering to saw-series)? Why do you think this human beings/ a company will freely cut off it's noble head(s)?

My opinion is, they halted "Duke Begins" to finish a game which was re-re-redeveloped/invented in 13 years!

If they really done 800 of 900 issues it's seems to me they are only polish DNF and not have any other thinks to do. see the leaked trailers/stuff from ex-dev members, the graphics and gameplay is finished. the news was heard they only need the money exactly to fund the final phase before gold. If it's
was not a little lie...

This continuing polishing process is obviously documented by showing of some pic.

Other ideas: Remember how many patches was available for DN3D after it's release? today the patchnumbers.. are 1.2.3.41.1313Betas. So it takes a while to get close to the old stable releases!

Maybe George and/or Scot(t) only do "beta"-tests on there own and communicate the bugs to the gearbox-team, which may be the current dev-team. They may do not need the full original dev-team anymore and
let them free. Not to harm them but to survive, of cause.

Did one of you ever think on some map's will come out of the box from gearbox after a (planed) DNF-Release? It is possible the gearbox-team have developed "Duke Begins" with the allready kind-of-finished DNF-Engine? Makes it sense to me to create a game based on a mostly stable unreleased Engine in disguise. The Team is familar with the engine and has skills not only to make content but to polish the king's crown.

It's all speculation but let your minds be inspired...

I use to say the same, but as a joke. That's not realistic at all. Modern game development is much more complex than that. We are talking about a 20 million dollars project. Do you think that shifting the dev teams is that simple?

besides Gb was in Vegas, Scott was occupied with the lawsuit and bryan was fixing the site / shop

Duke Begins could have been cancelled only by Take-Two. And if they did that for helping 3DR finish DNF then those lawsuits don't make sense at all.

They ought to just make some sort of deal and settle the case out of court, and get back to work on Duke Nukem Forever.

Anything else is just a huge waste of time and money for everyone. What good does it do? Releasing one of the most anticipated games in the history of PC gaming without further delay is in everyone's best interest, Take Two, 3D Realms, the huge number of Duke fans, everyone!
