Perhaps I was mixed up. The only things I read on the Duke forum are about source code or BUILD, and there tend to be Anti-Joe sentiments in those threads. I guess I assumed it was UBB-wide.

Believe me, we get tons of source code requests over here too. That doesn't mean that those people are Anti-Joe, they might be, but they could also just be people that can't learn to read older topics. [img]smilies/images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

About the history reports, that's probably the reason why some people don't like him, with all the times he's copy\pasted the Commander Keen stuff from the 10th anniversary of Keen article or the FAQ. [img]smilies/images/icons/wink.gif[/img] j\k [img]smilies/images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Speaking about editors, if you remember that Duke Nukem 1 editor I released a few months ago in this forum, I'm actually contemplating whether it would be worth my time converting it to be able to edit Keen 4-6 maps (and perhaps Keen 1-3 maps as well).

I'd like to ask if anyone here is interested (or would like to help out) in me doing this. Please email me (or post here in this thread) if you have any comments or feedback about this.

I'll probably use the same interface and have similar features, like being able to work on multiple levels simultaneously, though I'll probably add some more features like being able to dynamically resize levels while editing, for instance. I'll still release it under the GNU GPL, so the source code will be freely available for others to enhance and continue [img]smilies/images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Also, if you have any information on the Keen 1-3 or 4-6 specs, please email me, so I can start planning out the editor if I decide to go ahead with it, thanks.

Ck5dump compiled right for me. Now I can see the Keen5 graphics in Ted5. Woehoe (I think it's Woohoo for in English.)

There was this picture I saw in some ones (probaly yours) signature on the Keen board, it was the current hero for the game, and I thought that he was ugly and from what I know he is just a slightly redrawn version of the Keen one; so I concluded that he was ugly.

I will remove them when I next update my site, so anywhere in the next couple days.

Ok I have found the unzlexe program and I think I expanded the keen4e.exe file properly. After that I ran ck4dump, then tried decarmackize but it still gives me an illegal operation. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
