yeah the site admins already gave word on it, they said there were a bunch of fraudulent votes, they are making a recount and removing false votes.

Hope bub 'n' bob with megaman don't win both of them, i won't vote any of these.
I think mario will loose in the next round if he faces kratos, he's too cool to loose even if it is mario; also i'm not sure about duke when he'll get to link.

it's because they have support from 4chan, they are just voting for them, to make them win everything, so that way, everytime they beat an iconic character, a bunch of people gets pissed off.
samus is just behind them by 100 votes, and seriously, I think that at this point, if B&B lose, their "fans" and 4chan supporters will be more pissed off than everyone else

I care. Voted yesterday for Samus. Haven't played Metroid (Prime), but that's just ridiculous. Either way, Mario is way above everyone else with 39k votes. Freeman is second with 32k.

I think a lot of people vote for their favorite game franchise. If you look at it that way, Duke doesn't deserve to win. Yes, Duke 3D was one of the greatest games of all time, but that was a long time ago. Compared with franchises like Zelda and Half Life, which can boast having several truly great games each, and have continued to be released over the years, the Duke franchise doesn't hold up well at all.

The last game starring Link that I played was Twilight Princess on Gamecube, which is quite good. But the best games for their time were the classics from the days of NES and SNES. I'm old enough to have played those when they were released. At the time they were very innovative and magical, but if you play them for the first time nowadays they don't seem very good because all the stuff that was innovative has been done better in more modern games.
