Some options seem very stupid and out of place.

For example pac-man,Donkey Kong, or some other creatures shouldn't be included imo. It makes the contest lame. also many great human characters with personality are missing, such as max payne

Ya, the characters do seem an odd bunch, as soon as I get my conformation e-mail I will vote for DUKE NUKEM!

But on this occasion, lets not bet on him, i bet ♥10 that Sonic the Hedgehog wins it... And I REALLY HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!

You need to register on GameSpot.

Also, they have 4 really strong characters(Leon S. Kennedy, JC Denton, Duke Nukem, Marcus Fenix) facing each other so that only one of them goes to 3rd round. Duke Nukem vs Marcus Fenix in the 1st round. The hell is that?

Because that voting is from Sept 1-4 for 1a (the left group).
Voting for 1b (the right group) is from Sept 4-8.

The dates you can vote for what is at the top of build your bracket showing the characters to vote for. The final voting for the final winner will be Oct 15th.

There is some weird battles on there, Gay Freeman vs Bomberman and stuff and I can't remember who was against Yoshi, and i don't think Rayman is on there, but I haven't really checked.

Most likely not. At the last stages, more people(sony,360 fans) would want to vote against Link or Mario. The only possible rival for Duke is Gordon Freeman since Duke most likely gets his votes from many PC fans.

No, Duke has not been dead since the 90's, and HE has never been a dissappointment. Seperate the failings of DNF, 3D Realms, from Duke Nukem. The character, and just about all the releases hes been in, have been good, fun, expereinces.
