Alright so anyone who finished the game should know that Prey 2 is coming. I was thinking about what the game might be about and came to a couple of conclusions. First off, the sphere was just technically one alien, the one that came before the mother. Maybe there is a whole bunch of them and the other biengs will need Tommy's help to take them out. Unfortunatly i dont know how you would effectively incorporate that into the game, maybe make a "Sphere home word". Also I realised that you never completed your spirit training in the first game, so your power may have the potential to increase tenfold.

What do you think the second game will be about?

like you said, I think the quest will be to destroy other spheres..
maybe we'll eventually realize that the earth is also a "sphere" of the same type.. or that our world , universe or whatever is inside a sphere..

also the possibility to fight more inside in the dream worlds(maybe the ones of the spheres?).. or to include space combats

I think a look into the idea of scientifically connecting the physical and spiritual worlds should be expanded upon.

Prey pretty much reversed what happens in Doom3, but why stop there? This concept opens countless more possibilities.

Exploring the spirit world's secrets could yield many discoveries for the aliens. They could sever Tommy's connection with it and render him completely mortal. They could 'abduct' Jen's spirit and potentially destroy it. They themselves could harness the power of spirit-walking or death-walking. And besides, who's to say that nobody did?

Tommy was in the sphere when it crashed into the sun. But still he was spared somehow, his physical body restored on Earth. What's to see that nothing else found its way back to the living?

Not everyone knew how to harness the power of the Land of the Ancients though. IMO, Mother knew how to deathwalk and spiritwalk etc when she took over the sphere, but forgot how, so she wanted to uncover it's secrets...

Oh well, we'll see what happens come the time prey 2 comes out.

That seems like a rather shallow thing for Mother to be worrying about. She admits that she's aware that she's about to pass on to the next life, and needs Tommy to take over for her. My guess is she'll be able to explore the Spirit World all she wants after that happens Was the desire for power involved? Probably. Though I doubt it was just a private project set up by Mother, since it would serve no use to her one she's dead. Although she might have been looking ahead towards the continued survival of the Sphere beyond her reign, and I think all the denizens of the Sphere had a degree of curiosity that encourages them to explore and conquer new worlds.

If she could uncover the secrets of it, she could infuse them into her followers and guarantee her unquestionable dominance over anywhere she went.

She already is immortal, but her followers aren't (She only wants tommy to lead because she's too tired after living for a thousand years. Frankly, you'd have to be insane to want to live forever)

The point is, there's something there she wants, we just don't know exactly what it is.
