i mean george in one of his interviews i belive said he loved how with duke you could do dukematch and stufff with your mates and play co op. but yet this one doesnt have either. or something like with classic games.

What? You can still do dukematch and co-op with the xbox 360 version through Xbox Live. You just can't do it split-screen.

Anyway, from what I've read - they only had something like four people working on this. To implement splitscreen would required more manpower. So they decided to just work with what was there (Dukematch and Co-op all online) while adding in a couple of things (such as the new record feature) and modifying some things (such as the boot damage and other little things that were in the PC version).

There is no SPLIT SCREEN. There is co-op. Plus there is system link you can do, or play online. But no split screen.

Correct. The team for this was not huge. George of course was the project leader, and we had two programmers, one artist (who did mostly things like the menus, the background, and fonts), and two primary testers one of which was myself. None of us worked on it exclusively, either.

The idea here was not to re-invent the wheel.

Not long to go now people. I have been holding off playing Duke Nukem 3D on my PC just for this release so it will feel as fresh as ever.

duke on the n64 had 2 play co op. and 4 player death match without system link. so did time to kill i belive.

im not hating on the game im just a bit unhappy that co op is missing.
